... ~~~ THE WESCO STAR WARS LIGHTSABER TORCH ~~~
In a nutshell ... Wesco have produced an impressive gadget that is both highly functional whilst also being fun !!! The product (as an actual torch) has been produced to a high standard. The beam itself is powered by 3 AAA batteries and has 4 super bright LEDs (with a lifespan of 1000+ hours) that emit a cool but clear beam of bright blue light. I have used this torch outside at night time and ... ...screen used props) and the Wesco Lightsaber Torch has been produced to an impressive standard of movie authenticity. Wesco could have taken the easy route and simply created an authentic Lightsaber shaped torch and it still would have been a great product. But Wesco have gone one step further ... and what makes this an absolutely ...
I have wanted a wind up torch for a while now but had never got round to buying one. Unfortunately my car was vandalised by a spiteful crook on Tuesday evening/Wednesday morning and in order to protect it from the elements my boyfriend suggested we put a temporary layer of paint on it. The problem was I was at work all day and my boyfriend would not be able to do anything until I had finished. As it gets dark earlier now I needed to get a torch.
... ...£3.00. I thought this was reasonable as a cheap small torch would have cost that much when you buy batteries for it. It is made by a company called Uni-Com Limited which produces innovative products for your home such as lighting - indoors and outdoors, door chimes, smoke alarms and security alarms for the home. The torch itself is from their Eco Friendly Power range and is a small squarish device with scooped edges which makes it easier to grasp ...
Advantages: Durable, long battery life, sleek Disadvantages: comparatively heavy
I saw a maglite torch with a friend who had come to my farm. I knew that I had to have one of my own. I bought the 3D in Pune and am very happy and satisfied with its performance.. Its a good buy and extremely useful on long treks or night time camping and adventure apart from general utility tasks. It has a powerful beam and good focus with an awesome range. We also use it sometimes to pinpoint the location of a star or constellation. In my opinion, ...
Advantages: No batteries needed, useful hook to hang in the tent, protective cage surrounds the LEDs Disadvantages: Looks cheap and nasty, quite expensive outlay but will save you in the long run
...that I stumbled across the Gelert 12 LED windup mini lantern. In the box
In the box there is two items, being the lantern and a mains charger and that’s it. There are no additional bits and pieces and no instructions, which did surprise me a bit since I can’t think of any product I have purchased over the last few years that did not include an instruction booklet or user guide of some sort, even when using the product was so “idiot proof” that ... ...manufacturer etc. etc. but the Gelert does not have this, and since it is not needed I thing it is great that this company have bucked the trend and not bothered. In my opinion, this shows a forward thinking company since leaving out surplus paper not only saves the company money, it also helps the environment and this appears to be high on the agenda of almost everyone these days.
Some consumers may be wondering, “where’s all the important information ...
Advantages: Well made, nice and bright Disadvantages: Not waterproof, expensive on batteries
Maglite have been known for a long time now for their reliability and build quality. I personally think this is mainly due to good marketing. Yes, their products are good, but let me explain why there are better options. I purchased one of these 3D cell torches. It cost me just under £20. The torch feels solid and is well made. It does what a torch is meant to do and produces a nice bright beam. The batteries last OK, but being D sized cells, they ... ...but for torch use are not that great. There are no other features on offer here. Plus, it is not particularly waterproof. Showerproof yes, but heavy rain will not do it any good. In comparison, I purchased a Fenix torch, that runs from two AA cells. It cost me £35 and is a lot more compact. It is waterproof too. The light beam can be adjusted high to low, can be focused nicely and also it has an SOS mode, where if I did get stuck in the forest it ...
