Ok, first things first, I have no idea why this is listed as a Kappa kit. It is made by Puma as Kappa made the older Thomsons kit. Right, now thats out of the way, on with the review.

Being a Spurs fan since 1981 I've had numerous kits down the years from manufacturers including Le Coq Sportif, Hummel, Adidas, Umbro and Kappa. All of these shirts at the time seemed great but only when newer styles come out do you realise the design flaws in them (the Kappa one for example was skin tight which looks great on a skinny Aaoron Lennon but not so on anyone like me with a bit of a porky belly).

Anyway, I decided to treat myself to the new Puma-Mansion kit in April of this year. We had had a good season and it had been a couple of years since I had bought the home shirt. Being the end of the season I had a right game trying to locate one. The local sports shops are only interested in Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea, a policy which really annoys me but thats another story. Even the Tottenham club shop was out of stock so I ended up buying online form a sports shop in that well known hotbed of football, Cornwall!!

£43 later (including P&P) I was in posession of my shirt. On unwrapping it the first thought that came into my mind was how light it is. The label reports it to be 100% polyester. Either way, it is the lightest football shirt I have ever owned, a massive step forward from my 90s Adidas-Holsten shirt. From the top down the shirt comprises of a blue collar with the word 'Spurs' on the back though this actually faded on the first wash. Moving down you get the Puma badge on the right breast with the newly designed Tottenham cockerell on the left breast. Then comes what in my opinion is the best sponsorship logo we have had in years. The Mansion logo and wording is vivid and really complements the rest of the kit. The logo is actually a transfer so be careful when it comes to ironing (turn it inside out and do it that way)

Although the image shows the long sleeved version I have gone for the short sleeves as I think you can be more flexible about wearing it whilst out socialising.

As soon as you see this shirt you will realise it is of very high quality, my only concern would be that because it is so light, it may be more prone to ripping if you were to take it off in a hurry or if you were to catch it on a branch or something similar. Up to now, my shirt is in exactly the same condition as it was when I first took it out of the packaging.

In summary, this shirt is great as either a sporting garment or as a fashion item, it is very forgiving on figures that are 'less than perfect' and I cant recommend it highly enough. A must buy item (unless you are an Arsenal fan!!)
