Introduction Buying football shirts these days is a pricey game. With teams almost certain to change their shirts every season, as soon as you have bought the shirt, it seems that its only a matter of time until it is relegated to the bottom drawer, never to be seen again. Whilst on holiday, I was browsing the Tottenham Hotspur website and came across an offer which looked too good to be true. If I applied for the Spurs credit card and spent £100 on it in the first 90 days, they would send me a free away shirt worth £45. I duly signed up for the credit card and spent the £100 qualifiying amount, mainly by putting my weekly fuel onto the card. To my amazement, a week after passing the limit, a package arrived on my doorstep. My brand new shirt had actually arrived. I quickly unpackaged it and tried it on with a big smile ...

Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur - Mansion shirt

Advantages: Ultra light - great for all occasions
Disadvantages: Spurs wording fades on the collar very quickly

Ok, first things first, I have no idea why this is listed as a Kappa kit. It is made by Puma as Kappa made the older Thomsons kit. Right, now thats out of the way, on with the review. Being a Spurs fan since 1981 I've had numerous kits down the years from manufacturers including Le Coq Sportif, Hummel, Adidas, Umbro and Kappa. All of these shirts at the time seemed great but only when newer styles come out do you realise the design flaws in them (the Kappa one for example was skin tight which looks great on a skinny Aaoron Lennon but not so on anyone like me with a bit of a porky belly). Anyway, I decided to treat myself to the new Puma-Mansion kit in April of this year. We had had a good season and it had been a couple of years since I had bought the home shirt. Glory Glory Tottenham Hotspur....?

Advantages: Basic, but cool
Disadvantages: A tad basic, tight?

. The comfort factor is really nice, it doesn't itch unlike some football shirts and is very light to wear, a really good shirt for the Summer. As mentioned, if you can afford to spend between £20 and £35 on a shirt, do it. But do not feel pressured into buying it just yet, wait until the final couple of months of the season, the prices do tend to drop by around £5 in most shops. This shirt is also the home shirt for next season as well so is a good investment for a Tottenham fan to make. ...
