The bright red share-sized bag informs you in clear white writing that it contains Sweet Chilli Kettle Chips, the bag contains 150g and costs around £1.50. The chips are hand cooked in sunflower oil, they have no artificial colourings or flavours and are low in saturated fats. They have been approved by the Vegetarian society and are fine for vegans to eat. 100g of Kettle chips contain 466 calories and although they say they are lower in saturated fats the total fat content per 100g still remains at 25.4g and they have 53.0g carbohydrate for every 100g. The sexy chrome kettle in need of some Viagra

Advantages: Stylish, sexy, contemporary
Disadvantages: No stamina, lacks performance, expensive.

I bought one of these stylish, sleek kettles back in the year 2000 when I moved into my new house. If this kettle was a person it would be a sex god with it's posh, come turn me on look and at first, all seemed well - it looked great and visitors always commented on how nice it was but looks can be decieving. Along with a lot of things in life, the best looking option isn't always the best option !! You can't knock DeLonghi for their contemporary design or stylish range of kitchen products - trouble is the performance can't match up. First of all, the two pilot lights just fell out. Other problems I had were the top not going on properly, the kettle switching itself off before it had boiled (premature brewing) and finally the fact it kept blowing fuses. Trangia - the stuff of legends

Advantages: Lightweight, compact, tough, ready for anything
Disadvantages: None - really.

Some products deliver a task well. Others deliver the same task exceptionally on all fronts, this is the case with a Trangia. I have owned my Trangia since 1983 (!) and except for replacing a lost pan handle and a lost saucepan it is still performing to the same standards. Trangia now come in many formats - large and small, standard pans, teflon coated none stick frying pans, dual layered pans for increased thermal conductivity and are now available to be used with gas rater than the traditional methylated spirits. I have used several different version but the most important aspect of them all is their ease of use and transportability.
