OK, if you are a bit cruel and completely without any sense of style, you may think at first glance that the Trek Clyde looks a bit like the bike ridden by PeeWee Herman. I personally think that the retro looks of the clyde are brilliant. The frame curves superbly into the rear wheel and is really strong, I am a big guy and yet when I stomp on the pedal no momentum is lost is gimmicky springs and suspension, I fly!

The bike is low slung and looks mean as hell. The components are top quality, I have been hammering my Clyde into the ground for the last couple of months and the worst I can do it make the chain come off. Which, I might add, is not a problem. The Clyde has an integrated gear system in the hub of the wheel, yep, no complex external cogs and wheels to go wrong and need adjustment. Don't be put off by only 4 gears, I race through traffic to work and over rough ground in my spare time and have never had cause to use gear number 4 except on very steep hills. The gear ratio is excellent.

I suggest you track one of these beauties down and buy it. They are as rare as rocking horse crap and to own one really makes you stand out in traffic jams.

The stats say it all.
My house -> Work in the Car = 50 minutes
My house -> Work on the train = 45 minutes
My house -> Work on the Clyde = 35 minutes

I love this bike and you will too, check it out and then get your cheque book out. Kitt :-)
