Truvativ 4mm Wide Downhill Chainring 104 BCD Note: Pairing the wrong chairings together can result in poor shifting performance. All Truvativ chainrings were designed to work with 8 or 9 speed drivetrains.
Advantages: nearly everything including the frame, forks, brakes, wheels and 1.5 big headset Disadvantages: the shimano alivio front mech and the double chainrings on the front
...points are that i dont think that the truvativ hussefelt double chainring is suitable for jumping,i thing it should be a single ring which is more reliable especially with a shimano alivio front derailleur which i think makes it look cheap and also i had problems when i pedalled backwards. I have changed mine to a single ring and a truvativ box guide which has reduced the chances of the chain coming off as easily as the standard setup whilst jumping. Once i was going for a jump and i hit a large stone which was not visible to me and the chain came off and tried to pedal and then my knee hit the handle bar and i fell to the side, i was in agony this is why i changed and ive never had this problem since.
The geometry of the bike is great, it feels like you are sitting in the middle and when you try to lift the front end for wheelies or jumps...

...and Bob's your uncle, although a vertical dropout would be better and much easier for removing the wheel.
The wheels supplied are, well, rubbish, I seriously buckled them on a mini jump, although it is not too expensive to true them it is still time wasting AND money wasting. High wall rims and Presta valves do not mix! My pump requires that you push all of the valve into it, i can only fit around 1/4 of it in, so i need to use my friends pump.
The hubs are great hubs (shimano deore) and i have no problems with them.
The pedals are great, really grippy, and randomly red! They have seized up though, so without anti-seizure formula i cant take them off.
The crank arms, FANTASTIC, Truvativ Husselfelt, again standard issue on most jump bikes, and a lot of others, they're rock solid and reliable!
Chain device, again Truvativ...

Advantages: handles perfectly this is a great bike, useful on a range of levels Disadvantages: no rear suspension so on rough tracks you have to stand to avoid jumping off saddle!
...Kona make a wide range of bikes so whatever level or type of biking you prefer then kona would be a great make for you to go for! i have had this bike for 4 years and it has continued to impress me throughout the duration i have ridden it.
first off i just rode on the usual dry mud tracks, and have progressed onto forest riding and mud tracks. and now i have started to use my bike on jumps and fast downhill/uphill styles.
before i had this bike, i had always had a specialized mountain bike, and these i found to be equally as good, they also make a wide range of bikes. so choosing a bike that was new to me was a big decision, especially one that came with a £600 price label at the time.
when you go to buy a mountain bike at a shop, the assistant will normally ask you what you want to use your bike for, once you have answeredthat...
