We received this fabulous machine only a matter of weeks ago and already all of our 6 family members have toned up and become addicted to the excersize.

The cross-trainer comes in a box of dis-assembled peices. It also includes a well detailed, thick instruction booklet and a small booklet on the instructions to use when assembling. The bigger peices are very heavy and so I advise you not to try lifting or moving them by yourself.. its a 2 person job! Lastly there are also 2 spare foot peices for the cross trainer just incase you have any mishaps with the fragile feet! We have had such a mishap and so it came in handy to replace it with.

---MY EXPERIENCE---

We were very fortunate as my mum's dad bought this machine for himself, but never got round to using it! And so he gave it to us!! We were only too happy to accept ofcourse.. just to take it off his hands *winkwink*.

My parents transported the bulbous parts in the car and it took 2 of them to carry the peices into the house (provided that it wasn't all in the box it came with). My dad assembled it fairly quickly and he seemed to have no problem at all with it. The instructions provided the right information and all of the screws are ovbiously included in a sachet.

---WHERE CAN YOU PUT IT?---

You could place your machine anywhere!! If I was to lie down parallel to the machine, I would still be about a head taller than it (which is very unusual for me as I am a measly 5"2 !) We have placed the cross trainer in the corner of the living room. It does not stand out or make the room smaller. It is a fairly thin machine and so it does not take up too much space!

---AESTHETICS!---

The machine looks so sophisticated! So expensive and suave! You want to use it just to look great! Aswell as looking great in the other sense of toning the muscles and to obliterate the yucky fat! It has a pallot of light greys and dark greys, which are able to camoflage into any colour scheme.

---HOW IT WORKS!---

You simply plug the machine in to a socket (it has a normal wire and plug like any other peice of electrical equipment except it is quite a long wire which is very handy!) You then can step on to the pedals and move forwards to switch on the machine. It has 2 different types of handle that you can hold on to! There is the handle that curves round and stays still while you run or there is the handles which move as the pedals move in the opposite direction. This enables you to work out your arms aswell as your legs!

---FEAUTURES OF THE MACHINE!---

There are loads of features in this amazing machine!

The curved handle that says still contains a sensor pad at each side that you can hold on to while the machine is still to measure your blood pressure! This enables you to measure your blood pressure before and after your excersize and to compare it as time goes on.

Whilst someone is using the machine it is easy to listen to music or watch the television at the normal volume as the machine makes no noise at all while you are pedaling!! This feature really amazed me and it also means that when someone is pedalling, it does not infuriate another person who is trying to watch the television. This also means that it does not matter what time of the day you are using it at as it wont disturb anyone else!

You can use the machine manually by adjusting the level of turdiness of the wheel (higher level= harder to do and more calories burned!)

You can also use the machine by selecting 'Rolling Hills' which are great fun and motivate you to continue as there is a picture of the hills on the display screen infront of you and it shows where you are by a section of the hill flashing while you are on it.

The 'Rolling Hills' programme has 4 different difficulty settings with different hill pictures to show the difficulty.

It also has 3 screens below the display screen, these show the amount of minutes spent on the machine, the counts of cycles dont and the calories burned.

An alarm goes off when you have completed the amount of time you set the machine up for.

---WHAT THE MACHINE DOES FOR YOU!---

It tones your muscles and burns off the fat! This has always been my favourite type of excersize machine as it works all of your body and not just a selected part eg. legs. This has the biggest effect on your lower legs, thighs, bum, tum and your arms! You can work out your tummy muscles by holding in the muscles while you are running.. it really does have an amazing effect! My tummy ached for a day afterwards and I really felt a result! My legs have toned up considerabley!

I used the machine for 20 minutes every day for one week and the most noticeable difference was that of my legs and buttox! Both were very much more toned and very noticeably so, I was amazed that it happened so quickly!

---TIPS AND ADVICE:---

You don't particularly need to wear shoes as it has a grip surface on the pedals but it would probably be more hygeinic if you do!

Have an antibcterial spray handy or wipes to wipe down the handles once you have used it, just to make it more pleasant to use for the next person!

You can buy a Polar Heart Belt separately to feed your heart rate to the machine! It picks it up through magnetism.

You should be careful (although I don't think that you should use the machine) in the presence of small children as whe someone is using it, the pedals could hit the child and cause injury!

Personally I would say that this machine is for ages 12 onwards. My little brother who is 8 and rather tall for his age can just about manage to use the machine although you can tell that he is struggling and you cannot take your eyes off him as he almost had a bad fall of it as he was looking behind him at someone instead of concentrating.

----PRICES AND WHERE FROM----

I advise you to shop around as the prices range dramatically from about 300 to 500 pounds! We got ours for quite a good bargain!! You may not be so lucky if you don't look around firstly. You will be likely to find this product at any good sports shop.. but check out online retailers as they usually have the best deals!
