Silent operation system with a strong motor. Shock absorbing T-Flex™ running base with orthopaedic belt gives an extra touch of running comfort. Position speed control (PSC) Tunturi''s patented hands-free speed control system: machine slows down when the user slows down and accelerates when the user speeds up the pace. Simple folding with a safe double-locking system immobilizes the belt - useful for families with children. Pure Scandinavian design, use of high quality materials. Hand built in Europe. Sturdy steel frame. Large control keys within easy reach distance during training.
...I bought this treadmill from Tesco Direct about two years ago and it is still going strong.
It sits beside my desk and folds upwards which is great for keeping it out of the way. It is then easily opened using a key on the side and the main belt drops down to the floor.
It has different speeds and also preset programmes which challenge your fitness by speeding up and slowing down at different times.
It is very sturdy and has an emergency cut out switch that you can attach to your clothes and a drinks holder.
The only thing I miss is the incline which you have to adjust manually when treadmill is off but for the money it is a great treadmill....

Advantages: QUALITY, VALUE FOR MONEY, COMPACT. Disadvantages: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
...INTRO
After the sudden death of my 7 year old Pro-form treadmill it was time to start looking for something to replace it with but being somewhat out of pocket (probably due to credit crunch/petrol prices) my budget was under £400. I must say I didn't think that I'd be able to get much treadmill for my money.

After some head scratching I decided that the 'Reebok I RUN...

Advantages: Works Disadvantages: Broken Rear Guards
...Broken Rear Guards
I am new to treadmills. I am learning to concentrate whilst walking/running, to stay in the middle of the running surface, to keep up with machine!
We have recently gotten a BH Fittness G6446N Pioneer Premium Plug & Run. Purchased sight unseen via the internet.
At the rear of the running deck are 2 plastic guards. I note that this design feature is shared by all of the G6400 series of Treadmills. The guards are held on by friction and one screw, the internal support and plastic casing/body is weak and flimsy.
These guards have not lasted very long and will not take even slight impact. Granted you want to protect the workings of the belt and make the thing look good but they break and are almost impossible to repair. The should be "detachable" and clip on/clip off.
Replacement of each broken guard will cost...
