I have had a number of blood tests recently, which indicate that I have a high risk of getting Diabetes Type 2. This is why I have enrolled on a structured patient information course, specially designed for people with Type 2 diabetes called the "X-Pert Programme". This course gives you the opportunity to increase your skills, knowledge and confidence in managing diabetes and is completely free when you are referred by your GP.
The programme is run over 6 weeks :-
Week 1 - What is diabetes + Health results
Week 2 - Weight management - what is considered to be a portion?
Week 3 - Carbohydrates + GI awareness
Week 4 - Food labels, activity and stress
Week 5 - Possible complications and understanding tablets
Week 6 - Evaluation + Life issues and driving.
Each sesion is approximately 2 - 21/2 hours long with an interval ...

I joined up with ZoomPanel through ipoints in December 2003. Quite frankly, I was most unimpressed with them at first. Despite promising the potential to earn rewards and cash through ZoomPoints, the first 10 or 11 surveys they offered me only qualified me for entry into a sweepstake or prize draw. I'm afraid that I very swiftly pull the plug on any survey company only offering entries into prize draws, as in over 2 years of survey work, I have yet to win anything from any survey company prize draw or raffle. I fail to see why I should spend my valuable time completing a survey for which I get little or no reward, when you can bet your bottom dollar the company hosting it is being handsomely rewarded. Advantages: Low cost airline with Premium seating available. Disadvantages: Only fly from a few airports in UK
A few years ago we planned to go to Canada and cross the Rockies and then cruise to Alaska to celebrate our Ruby Wedding and retirement. But as my husband got voluntary redundancy last October we decided to bring the celebration holiday forward to this summer, why put off something that we can do now! We emailed a travel agent who specialised in Canadian travel and literally said what we wanted and what could they offer. The flight to Calgary and returning from Vancouver was with Zoom.
I hadn't even heard of Zoom, my husband said it was a low cost flight. Knowing it would be a long flight I was somewhat concerned as my experiences with Easyjet and Ryanair haven't been very positive. So after doing some research online we asked the travel agent to upgrade our seats to Premium.
