The seat is fairly comfortable and the foot pedals are large enough to accommodate the bigger sized shoe with Velcro straps to hold feet securely. On the downside the resistance cannot be manually changed but increases as your speed increases (which increases the machines noise), there is also the problem of keeping the machine in the one place as the harder you row the more it moves due to the wheels at the front. The machine is fairly large more so than most other home machine rowers, but can easily folded in half. It also has the basic display functions you would expect to find like speed time distance calorie count, strokes per minute, total strokes. As someone who rows regularly I would recommend this machine over most others in its price range.
