Get Fit, Go Elliptical!

Advantages: Low impact cardiovascular workout
Disadvantages: Expensive

In a bid to lose a few pounds after uni (too much alcohol & too many takeaways) I was looking for a good all round exercise machine, and elliptical trainers were recommended by some friends. "Why?" I enquired. "The answer is simple" came the reply, "they are a great cardiovascular work out and the pedals mimic the body's natural movements when running, so essentially you are running, but there is no impact - saving your joints and bones!" "Genius!" I replied. And so my quest to buy a machine began. After looking at a variety of makes and models, I decided upon the York 3100 Elliptical Trainer & Cycle. It looked the sturdiest, could handle the most maximum weight (16 stone - not that I was this large, but obviously the larger the maximum weight, the stronger the machine), was from a brand that I had heard of and trusted ...

My trainers cross i ate all those pies.

Advantages: Burns fat fast, heart rate monitor
Disadvantages: Takes up alot of space

of any previous training you have done on the exerciser, but you can easily write this onto a note pad. Exercising ************ Once on the cross trainer you will find it's action very smooth and on the low setting very easy to use so is ideal for someone who is very unfit or not used to training. As your fitness improves the cross trainer is capable of keeping pace with those improvements to a high level of fitness. Instructors recommend training at various speeds and the programs on the cross trainer allow this. The graph on the computer shows how the tension is set for each program, the higher the line the harder it is the lower the easier. Any time you find the going to hard or easy just press a button to adjust the tension. Conclusion ************* This has got to be the most successful piece of exercise equipment we have ...

V Fit Mini Stepper

Advantages: Very easy to use, move around and store.
Disadvantages: I'm sure there are better steppers but for a higher price.

it bare foot but this became quite painful and I found that wearing proper trainers made it a lot easier. As for the noise, I believe I made the right choice for the quietest home gym equipment. I do find that after about 10 minutes one of the cylinders squeaks a bit, and the cylinders generally make noise resisting movement. I doubt this makes much noise at all in the flat downstairs. And to me, well I always have my ipod on. The stepper itself is fairly large. It's maximum height is 11 inches, length is 15 inches, and width 18 inches. I find it fits in the bottom of my wardrobe and is easy enough get out and put back on a daily basis. The machine itself is a bit heavy at 1stone or 6.5kg, but it's easy enough to carry from one room to another, or put it away and take it out of the wardrobe. Now onto the results. Although I ...
