V-Fit HS5 Vulcan Hydraulic Stepper

Advantages: Very easy to use, move around and store.
Disadvantages: I'm sure there are better steppers but for a higher price.

...Before I start describing the wonders and blunders of the v fit mini stepper I'd like to explain why I opted for this style of home gym equipment. I read a bit on the internet about steppers and how people lose 2-3 inches just using the stepper every day, although this would be a nice bonus I wasn't focusing on losing weight so much as getting fitter and healthier. I live in a large block of flats in London, on the 7th floor with other people living below, above, each side and across the hall. Purely because of this I gave up on my collection of fitness DVDs as I didn't want to be banging about jumping and running every day to the tune of "Lift 2,3,4 and Down 2,3,4, Slide 2,3,4 and Back 2,3,4, and Starjumps...". Advantages: Military Aviation history at its best.

...Personally, I believe that Vulcan 607'' has to rate as one of the finest pieces of writing in the field of military history. Part of Britain's history, the Vulcan flight to the Falkland Islands during the war with Argentina is truly epic. From the many problems inherent in flying aircraft near the end of their service life, through a flight that spanned thousands of miles, to the bombing of the airfield at Stanley, Rowland White paints a vivid picture of the events and the people involved that draws you on, to the point where you regret finishing the book. He carefully provides background to the events and his "backdrop scenes" are impressive indeed. Nor is it one sided. Advantages: Massive capacity, good support, versitile
Disadvantages: Lack of hydration bladder

...includes excellent, adjustable shoulder straps, top tension adjusting, a top chest strap and a bottom hip strap, which assists in weight distribution. The bottom hip strap uses a sliding lock as opposed to a clip. While this helps prevent breakage of the clip, cold / gloved hands may struggle with the strap. The Vulcan has two removable side pockets which can form a day sack. Surprisingly, this isn't gimmicky and the day sack is actually half-decent! The pockets hold a good amount of pack, which can be further augmented thanks to clip straps on either side. They can be replaced with military issue PLCE side pouches if you wish. A PLCE can also fit on the back of the pack to further extend the carrying load. The bag has a top compartment for easy access to maps / first aid supplies as well as a bottom, zipped compartment for bottom access... Read review
