V-Fit SC1-P Aerobic Training Cycle

Advantages: Good classes, excellent customer service
Disadvantages: No pool

.... There are both daytime and evening classes. I've very rarely had a problem booking in for a class. They usually only get full after New Years when all the resolutions start again! I've tried out the Yoga, BodyBalance and LBT (Legs, Bums, Tums) classes, all of which are excellent and run by well trained staff. I hurt my back recently and the instructor made sure that I didn't do any moves that weren't suitable and reccomended other excersises for me to try that might help. The Spin (mad cycling) class looks very scarey and the Latino Aerobics looks great fun, but I have 2 left feet! Rather than go through what each class entails I'd reccomend you look at the Les Mills website http://www.lesmills.com/ which describes them. Advantages: local (to me), lots of facilities, no posers!!
Disadvantages: none that I can think of

...the machines for long and there are always machines to use. I have never had to queue for a machine!! The staff are fully trained gym instructors and they are happy to write personal fitness programmes for you if you have areas of you body which you need to focus on. They also provide a Personal Instructor service for those who need some extra motivation and encouragement. There are also lockers in the gym which costs £1.00 and are refundable, male and female toilets with plenty of room to change, water cooler (which is free) and there are scales to weigh yourself which are also free to use. Advantages: sturdy and solid, great looking, good to ride and very useful
Disadvantages: doesn't quite fold up as small as a Brompton

...I own this bike, and its cool. Its the sort of bike that you can ride on down a cycle path through a bunch of kids on BMX's and Mountain bikes, and they do not mock you. This is a folding bike that isn't to be mocked by children. In fact when mine is unfolded the handle bars and seat post are often higher than my mountain bike, I have always had the problem of never having a bike big enough for my needs, but this one I can actually ride on properley, no more cramped posture, this is a bike that actually fits me, and i'm only 6ft 2. How does this bike compare to something like a Brompton? Well you are in luck, because I used to ride a Brompton to work before I got this bad boy!
