V Fit Mini Stepper

Advantages: Very easy to use, move around and store.
Disadvantages: I'm sure there are better steppers but for a higher price.

Before I start describing the wonders and blunders of the v fit mini stepper I'd like to explain why I opted for this style of home gym equipment. I read a bit on the internet about steppers and how people lose 2-3 inches just using the stepper every day, although this would be a nice bonus I wasn't focusing on losing weight so much as getting fitter and healthier. I live in a large block of flats in London, on the 7th floor with other people living below, above, each side and across the hall. Purely because of this I gave up on my collection of fitness DVDs as I didn't want to be banging about jumping and running every day to the tune of "Lift 2,3,4 and Down 2,3,4, Slide 2,3,4 and Back 2,3,4, and Starjumps...". So basically I believed the quietest exercise equipment I could buy would be a mini stepper. So off to Argos to get ...

Review of V-Fit Mini Stepper

Lateral Stepper

Advantages: Good workout,
Disadvantages: Can be boring

I own one of these steppers, not this particular model, but from the read up it does exactly the same. I purchased mine for around £40.00 from Argos. It has an adjustor which you turn to tension the feet pedals but other than that, there is nothing to it. It also has a computer which tells you how many strides you have done, how many calories you have burned (supposedly) how long you have been working for etc. The one thing I don't like about this machine is that the computer cuts off after a couple of minutes of inactivity. I like to use it in short bursts over the day but I find I have to write down what I have done each time and then add them all together at the end of the day. Review of One Body Side Swing Mini Stepper

Steps to nowhere?

Advantages: Small and easy to store - gives cardiovascular work out
Disadvantages: Can get boring

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Whilst shopping in Tesco one Saturday morning I spotted the One Body Side Swing Mini Stepper. It looked like it might fit the bill - it was relatively small and not too heavy, it cost just under £35 and was very straightforward to use and remembering my days in the gym I did recall I had been quite happy on their step machines and that is important because if you don't like a piece of kit you will not use it regularly. I took the plunge, loaded it into my shopping trolley and took it with all my groceries to the checkout. My journey down the 'home exercise' route had begun. I unpacked it from its box and quickly glanced at the instructions. Basically there was nothing much to do to prepare it for use.
