We own an slightly older Vango Diablo 600 family dome tent and its probably the best investment we ever made. Recently we looked around this new model as we are looking to upgrade and the design changes they have made are excellent. For example, the addition of the side door and the extra height in the bedrooms. Our current tent had served us very well and has accommodated our family of four through all weathers during week-end breaks and two week summer holidays. The tents take about 45 minuted to erect (2 people ideally required). The sewn in groundsheet is great for two reasons. The first being that it helps keep heat in and cold out and the second being it stops creepy crawlies joining you for company. We have used our existing tent in October in England and have not been cold ( with the help of a small heater). The outer flysheet dries very quickly if got wet and the whole thing packs into a smart carry bag which easily fits into the boot of the car with plenty of room to spare. Very spacious family tent with a very reasonable price tag. They are regularly seen on any camp site.
How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
Hiya, welcome to ciao for a few reviews ago!
this is an interesting start to a review, but I would like to know a lot more about this tent, before I would even consider buying it.
More technical specifications would be ideal - granted, one could find these on a different website, but it's nice to have them in the review and with comments - such as height, width, rough area of ground it takes up. you call it a 'family tent', but measuring the tent in terms of how many people it comfortably (and uncomfortably) fit in would be better. it was good that you included how long it takes to erect though. you mention you don't get cold in your old tent, no tents are designed to keep you warm! that's what sleeping bags are for;-) you mention it fits into a boot with plenty of room to spare... granted it's obviously not a mountaineering tent, but a couple of details might be wanted by people who might fancy taking it on their backpacks, such as actual size, and weight. and one last thing, the price you paid for it! hope that helps:-) let me know if you add more, and i'll re-rate. Rob.

What you have written is good, but you need to put a bit more detail to get higher ratings. Use the 'more details' headings at the bottom of your review as a guide to the sort of things to add and put each one in a separate paragraph. Try to find out things like the weight and the dimensions of the tent when it's up. I don't think you need to write a really long review to get better ratings, your personal experiences are most important. If you do decide to rewrite your review and add a bit more, leave a message in my guestbook and I'll have another look. (In case you don't know, you do that by clicking on member's name, then 'guestbook'. It took me ages to find that our when I first joined Ciao!) Good luck xxx
