I bought this as i needed a warm winter sleeping bag for some out of car camping and it is ideal. It is basically a duvet with a nylon outercoating.

I am a very warm person and can often use the extreame guidence as my comfort zone regarding the temperature. Recently I was camping in the peak distict (middle of Novemeber) the temperature went down to -4c and I was as warm as toast. I have lent it to friends of mine who hs started to get cold at around freezing, which is probably a more realistic value for the bag.

It is very comfortable inside, you cannot feel any seams or the zip, the hood fits nicely over you head without blocking your face and generally has a lot of room inside (im 6'1 and 16 stone). It has a nice soft feel inside and a general feeling of quality

I do a lot of backpacking type camping all over the country in winter and summer and this bag is not designed for that, it is heavy and bulky, and i wouldnt like to have to dry it out in winter when you need it the next night !

Regarding the prrice it is an excellent buy for out of car camping where you do not have to carry it more than a couple of hundred meters. For roughing it on a mini expedition it is too big and heavy.
