About the Tent
The tent comes in a purpose made made bag and is no higher then 29 inches/ 74 cm ,the depth when stood up is no bigger then 10 inches/25 cm ,so is cylindrical in shape.(i'm sure could be folded smaller by someone who knows -as thats how big it is after I repacked it)
also included was 10 standard 7 inch tent pegs . Guy rope was included .
This tent comes only with 3 poles which are light and fold down small and very quickly . Although they seem small and fold down easily ,when in place they are strong and hold the tent up very sturdily. Also a repair part was included should one of your poles be damaged .

Advantages: Lightweight, robust, colour coded poles, reflective guy ropes Disadvantages: It's not true 4-season, small cooking area, lack of headroom
. The 'tent boffins' have designed it so that the mesh panels aid air flow - I can't tell you much more than that on the technical side, but I know that it works. The reflective guy ropes are a really good feature. They look like standard black nylon guyropes, but each has a retro-reflective strand sown into it. It helps you find your tent when you are in the back country and there is little residual light and also stops the drunk bloke tripping over it when you're in a campsite.
In summary, if you want a ultra-lightweight, easy-to-use, reliable expeditiontent, this is for you. If you want a back-of-the car, luxurious, spacious mansion with annexes that can take a double mattress, go to Millets!

Advantages: Large lightweight, yet strong, dome-shaped family tent for 4 people Disadvantages: Zips in doorway not ideally positioned for rainy day use.
The VaudeBase Dome 2 is a fairly large stable dome tent with two separate sleeping compartments. Two of the four poles intersect to form the central dome which is 1.9metres high. The other two poles support two separate sleeping compartments. Each one is large enough for a double airbed or two singles side by side. Either or both of these compartments can be removed for extra indoor space. It's an ideal family camping tent that's a manageable size and weight, around 9kg. With one of the sleeping compartments removed there is enough space inside to fit a small table and a couple of chairs. It's make a great luxury base camp for two adults with lots of space for gear. For four adults space is less but still good. We use it primarily as a summer base camp tent for climbing trips to the european alps (usually hot ...
