Advantages: Far better picture than standard composite, better looking games Disadvantages: Expensive, Only needed for larger screens 32" or greater
After the release of the little white bundle of joy on the 8/12/2006 people were given a composite cable to show off their new shinny new console.
AV enthusiasts all know a composite signal is the poor quality option for showing video on their TV's - what people really want is RGB or Component video input.
As console manufactures are out to make a profit they usually bundle the cheapest and most compatible option with the console and then release upgrades to that product for people who need or want it. Nintendo understand this and have released two video upgrade options - the Wii RGB cable or the Wii Component cable.
Lets get things straight from the off, The Nintendo Wii is not a High Definition Console, What this cable does offer is a enhanced image resolution of 480p.
I finally got hold of the component video cable after ...
Advantages: sharper/brighter picture, opens up more ports on TV, saves hassle. Disadvantages: quite expensive for a simple console improvement
The Nintendo Wii component video cable really is a sound investment if you are the owner of an HD/ LCD TV, and obviously a nintendo Wii.

With the component cable, the picture is not only much brighter, but much sharper and defined. It gets rid of the hassle of having to turn the contrast back down after playing on the Wii and improves the overall gaming experiance. Another bonus is that on your HD TV, this cable plugs into ...

Available here in August 2002, the design concept was first introduced to Europe by Opel, Germany, earlier in the year. Sifting through reviews, I found their road tests were encouragingly positive. Can you imagine attaching an actual golf club grip, baseball/softball bat handle, or tennis racquet handle directly to a cable end? With a 4' x 7' working footprint and an adjustable top height between 6'6'' and 6'11'', the VFT will fit in most rooms.
