The materials are very good, resist to shocks very well, the colors of the handle will stay there for ever but in time some scratches will appear, that depends of how you use it. I my opinion this is not an heavy duty knife, so don't treat him like one. The steel used for the blades in, as you expected, very good. Is has the right flexibility and rigidiness so it can be used in many activities. You can sharpen the blades of t his Victorinox Camper Swiss army knife very easy, if you have some knoledge about sharpening things. The steel is stainless so you don't have to worry about rust even after sharpening it lots of times, but you may want to wash him with freshwater after the knife was used in salty water because it will rust and you don't want that. This Victorinox Camper Swiss army knife can be used to do a lot of things from cutting different stuffs, to open beer and wine bottles, to cutting small pieces of wood.
