Navman S30 3D Satnav

Advantages: Good sound quality, Excellent re-route calculation.
Disadvantages: Gets a litte confused in busy cities due to the volume of roads.

With the low price satnav market becoming saturated, i found it difficult to find a satnav that would suit me. Someone i knew had one of the older Navman models so i thought i would buy the updated version. Navman's new baby navigator, the S30 3D has its work cut out to compete in such a tough market, so it's good to see that it has got the most important thing right and set the price at a competitive level. The navman can be bought for under £100 which is much less than the equivalent Tomtoms and Garmin's which start at around £150. Its not only the price that makes this product better than the rest. One thing that you will not find on other equivalent satnavs is the feature that not only gives you the direction by voice, but shows the next direction with an icon in the top left hand corner. Toshiba TLP-S30 A Form Over Function Projector

Advantages: Looks Great - Very Stylish, Compact & Very Light.
Disadvantages: Not Bright Enough At All

The Toshiba TLP-S30 Projector This projector is very aesthetically pleasing, it looks very modern and and the face of it looks to be a great projector. There are several important factors to look at when considering buying a projector and that is the brightness. This projector boasts a 1400 lumen lamp. For those of you who aren't used to projector terminology, lumens are just a unit for the measure of how bright the bulb in a projector is (and lamp is just the correct term for a projector bulb) Now this isn't an amazing brightness, but the Sanyo PLC-SU20 (just as an example) works comfortably at 1200 lumens and around 1500 lumens is really what somebody new to projectors should probably be looking at. Review of Toshiba TLP S30

Volkl ski bases are bad!!

Advantages: Nice to ski on, effortless turning
Disadvantages: Have had bad experience with prevoius model

I have been skiing since I was 3 years old am now am 21. I have been on the world circuit most of my life and have been in the German national ski team and won German national titles at a young age. A team member and I both bought a previous model of Volkl carvers (orange ones) and although they are and excellent ski we both had problems with the bases. During training in New Zealand on a rocky face there was a small land slide with pebbles scattered across the slope. After skiing through this trying to aviod as much as we could we later found that our bases had huge chunks taken out of them by the pebbles. They were huge gored out grooves and we were not impressed!. Later that season I crashed in a downhill event and snapped one of my skis. So the only problem was that they broke on me and that the bases were similar in strength ...
