The Megapix V10 is a decent little camera. It is not a "high end" 10 megapixel camera by any means, but it is great for day trips and weekends away.
Picture quality - when the picture is in focus, the quality is great. I found that night shots were always slightly blurred / out of focus compared to other cameras I have used. There are three settings - macro (close), standard, and infinity (distance shots).
It does take a short period of time between pressing the button and taking the picture. This can be annoying as your subject matter has often moved slightly. But it then displays a quick image of what you have taken before reverting back to the normal LCD display so that you can see if your shot was any good.
You also have to hold the camera quite still. If you move as the shot is being taken it can blur the picture. If ...

I have been skiing since I was 3 years old am now am 21. I have been on the world circuit most of my life and have been in the German national ski team and won German national titles at a young age.
A team member and I both bought a previous model of Volkl carvers (orange ones) and although they are and excellent ski we both had problems with the bases. During training in New Zealand on a rocky face there was a small land slide with pebbles scattered across the slope.
After skiing through this trying to aviod as much as we could we later found that our bases had huge chunks taken out of them by the pebbles. They were huge gored out grooves and we were not impressed!. Later that season I crashed in a downhill event and snapped one of my skis.
So the only problem was that they broke on me and that the bases were similar in strength ...

I recently purchased this camera as a replacement for our last digital camera, I am a novice when it comes to Digital photography and so don't know too much about the technical areas.......well actually i don't know anything about the tech side so if thats you read on.........
What was i looking for????
1.A camera that i can point and shoot without having to alter settings
Yep the V10 is great for this, set in automatic it does all the work for you....so far i have had very little problems with over/under lighting, flash etc
2.With a small person i needed a camera with a quick shutter ...
