are in near perfect condition and represent a great offer. Please Note: Image shows a new golf club. Also, please note the #4 & #7 irons have different grips to the other irons. The Wilson Staff Di7 Irons have an even lower and deeper Centre of Gravity than previous models which of course help to hit the ball higher and further. They also have a wide sole (which in conjunction with a shallower face helps move the centre of gravity lower and further back) in a compact, powerful head design. The set of irons is designed for golfers with a handicap of 10 and over who will appreciate these benefits. There is also Electrometric paint coating in the back cavity which dampens vibration (reduced by 1/3), and results in a softer feel.

they signed yet another famous name, when Gene Sarazon became the first golfer to be employed directly by the company in what has now become their famous “WilsonStaff Advisory” section.
Sarazen turned out to be an inspired choice, as he went on to win three PGA titles, a British Open, and the US Masters title, eventually ending up in the USPGA “Hall of Fame”, and he really put Wilson on the map in the golfing world.
~ ~ Wilson have always been a forward thinking company, and in 1933 one of their golf advisors, Willie Ogg, came up with a revolutionary new design of club called the “Ogg-mented Irons”, that are now considered to be the forerunner of today’s perimeter weighted irons.

The clubs I am talking about are regular steel shafted. The marketing line when I bought these clubs two years ago was that the fat shaft reduced the "twist" of the clubhead on mishit shots and so resulted in a straighter shot. Good marketing line. As I'm sure you all know there is no miracle cure in golf and so you can still hit bad shots with these clubs. Having said that, I would recommend these clubs. The main difference I found with the FS irons against my previous set (Maxfli VHL) was the distance I hit the mid and especially short irons. There was really no difference up to 5 iron, after that I found a considerable increase e.g wedge now flies 140 yards as opposed to 125 yards.
All golf clubs have to suit the individual personally. By this I mean they have to look and feel right to you before you've hit the shot. These irons do ...
Advantages: Fantastic looks, great forgiveness, good distance Disadvantages: Not suitable for beginners or the very low handicaps?
and I must admit I find many of their clubs fantastic to look at and the Pi5 are no exception! In the WilsonStaff series there are various degrees of golf club in terms of the standard of player the clubs are aimed at. This begins with the new Di7 model (Distance irons with a larger sole to reduce the effects of off-centre hits) which is the most forgiving. Next is another new model, the Ci6 which is aimed at mid-handicappers; feeling more like a precision players club but incorperating some of the more essential "forgiving" features. The third in the series is the Pi5 itself which is advertised as a "Performance Iron" to give players a variety of shot choices. The clubs progress from cavity backed long irons for forgivness to a bladed pitching wedge to give a strong player the right levels of precision and forgivness for their game ...

Manufacturer's product description
New for 2007, the Wilson Staff Di7 Irons (Steel); the award-winning distance iron from Wilson Staff. Longer than the competition! Straighter than the competition! A lower profile in the new Wilson Staff Di7 Irons moves the centre of gravity (COG) lower for higher ball flight. Meanwhile, a wider sole moves the COG back for greater stability and straighter ball flight. Added to this a wider tip shaft prevents twisting on off-centre hits. So if you want to hit it longer and straighter play Wilson Staff Di7 irons. Tip Control Technology 85% of all shots are hit between the centre and toe of an iron, causing the club head to twist open. Wilson's Tip Control Technology (wider tip) means that torque is reduced for less twisting on off-centre hits, equalling straighter shots. Wider Sole Weight con
