History
<><><><>
~ ~ The Wilson Sporting Goods Company began back in 1913, as the result of a slaughterhouse in Chicago looking for new and innovative ways to use the by-products of their gruesome trade.
They hit on the clever idea of using pig’s bladders in the manufacture of American footballs, and thus the Wilson company was born.
Their first venture into the golf market was the manufacture of golfbags, using the hide of the animals they had slaughtered, when in 1916 they set up a company called the “Indestructor Caddie Bag Co.”
~ ~ In 1920 they signed up the famous American golfer of that era, Jock Hutchison, (naturally enough, of Scottish origins) as their very first endorsed athlete, and began the manufacture of golf clubs called, appropriately, the “JH” range.

Advantages: Soft enough to be good on greens but still goes a good distance. Price. Disadvantages: Strange at first due to unusual dimple pattern.
ball is different to most other balls available in the sense that it has 312 shallow, flat-bottomed dimples which are supposed to give the ball a high, controllable trajectory. The ball also features a resilient HPF Mantle layer (developed by DuPont Chemicals) which is designed to give players the greatest possible acceleration off the club face and generate higher spin rates (to give more control to distance shots and more feel in the short game).
This ball is part of a series of current WilsonStaffgolf balls on the market at the moment. There is a two-piece construction (DX2), the PX3 is their three-piece ball and the top ball ...
Advantages: lightweight, balanced, esay to carry Disadvantages: none so far

As I also required to buy a stand to prop up my new bag, I shopped around and eventually found the perfect solution. The Wilson Levitator.
It is a lightweight, graphite friendly bag which has a built in double shoulder strap and stand. It cost £79 from my local golf pro (he advised me this is quite a new and so far very popular design) I believe it comes in several different colour combinations although I did not ...
