I can't believe we are nearly at the end of another year and another decade! Overall, 2009 has been a great year for me and I'd like to take this opportunity to reflect on it and share some of my experiences with you. January, February, March In January I had my first block of 2nd year exams (on my speech and language therapy course) and I started my 2nd placement. I was placed in the university adult clinic ? the Aphasia centre, for adults with language and communication difficulties, usually following a stroke. I had two adult clients, both of whom had had a stroke, and we worked on their methods of communication. It took me a while to settle into the placement but overall I quite enjoyed it. Bag and baggage

While awaiting inspiration for a new review, I remembered that this one was overdue for an update. Although I rewrote it a year or so ago for Dooyoo, to include selected items from handbag reviews posted over there, I never got round to revising the Ciao version. So here it is. All the articles mentioned appeared in reviews by women on one site or the other. * What have I in my handbag? I mustn't tell you lies; In truth the only bags I own Are those beneath my eyes. My Review of 2009 2009 was rather a strange year, in hindsight, with some unexpected things happening ? some good, some not at all positive. It is certainly one I will remember and I hope 2010 will be much, much better. FAMILY Being born in 1969, this year was the one I turned 40 ? something my kids reminded me of regularly! In the end, my actual birthday was overshadowed. My daughter had a nervous breakdown in October and was in psychosis during my birthday, so my attentions were obviously on her then, rather than on my advancing age. She was diagnosed with manic depression (bi-polar) and had to leave Drama School and move back home, though hopefully will be well enough to go back next year.
