A while back, about 1 year ago I decided to buy some York weights, 30kilos to be exact. I got home and unpacked the weights, read the instructions on how to piece the whole lot together then started using them. The set comes complete with: 2 Dumbell bars 2 Outer Barbell Collars 6 Vinyl Locking Dumbell collars 2 plastic Dumbell sleeves 6 x 1” Round internal Caps 2 x 4.5kg Vinyl disks 6 x 2.3kg Vinyl disks 4 x 1.1kg Vinyl disks 2 Training charts This was all very well but the Locking collars, which were made of Vinyl were a serious design flaw, two of them broke at the nut because they were so feebly made.
Although these are very good weights, at a good price and I have been able to make good use of them that design flaw should have been considered before distribution took place.
The total cost of the weights was £19 at Argos and is very sturdy and durable. It’s just a shame about the locking collars.
Well worth the buy, just be weary of the Collars.
