Advantages: Reliable, easy to use Disadvantages: Spinlock safety locks not very secure if not tightened properly
I purchased this about a year ago and was pretty impressed with it. With the set you get a 7kg barbell bar with 2 spinlock safety locks, 2 dumbell bars with 4 spinlock safety locks and plates that go up as: 4 x 5kg, 4 x 2.5kg, 4 x 1.25 and 4 x 0.5kg. The barbell and the dumbells have good grip sections on them however form blisters on your hands if used a lot, therefore I would suggest purchasing some good quality York weightlifting gloves to prevent this.
The spinlock safety locks are good if you tighten them really tight, however they easily gradually unspin if you do not tighten them enough. Also in my opinion the weight of the plates could be in higher weight value, like 4 x 7.5kg just so that people who like to add extra weight can do as it is difficult to get many more than 2 plates on each side especially on the dumbells.

Dr. Oetker are a brilliant when it comes to quick and easy to prepare cake mixes, however, the New Yorkstyle cheesecake is not what I call a last minute treat. It does take only a short time to prepare but the baking and cooling down time in the oven and then further cooling in the fridge take up the best part of 6 hours (three hours in the fridge you don?t really need to supervise and time).
