...Rower’s unique action exactly replicates the dynamics of rowing a boat moving through water. The system is operated by using a handle attached to a series of belts that turn the paddles in the water tank – thus creating resistance against the water. The rower has two small wheels placed at one end of the main frame to enable the rower to be easily lifted and relocated to an upright position against a wall, where it takes up little room.

Advantages: Good equipment, nice decor, friendly staff, ace juice bar Disadvantages: Location - if you really live in Islington!
...It's a great gym and highly convenient for where I live, but the people need to know - it's Holloway. Nearer Upper Holloway BR than Holloway Road tube. Only estate agents call this part of the world Islington!
The gym is good though. And so far, very uncrowded (although it has only been open a couple of months - I hope it lasts!)
I've only been to one class, it was yoga which was OK. They have really good machines and a large number of cardio equipment. There's a "Ladies gym" which is good if you're feeling flabby (although I don't understand why they don't have rowers in there).
The place is really nicely decorated and makes you feel like you're somewhere glam.
There is a really good Bliss juice bar which does loads of healthy wraps and sandwiches, and unhealthy cookies. I will never have to cook again....

We are just back from 4 nights in The Wellington Hotel. We booked it back in Jan'07 thru an online hotel booking site (I may have mentioned it in other reviews) We also booked flights directly with BA thru their website.

If you want to stay in Central New York then this is the hotel to book. It is actually IN Times Square! It's a huge modern hotel with over 45 floors so some of the views are great. There is a bar at the top which is a lovely place to have a drink,... more
