Atomic Beta Carv 9.16-Amazing
Review of Atomic Beta Carve X 42614 by
davidbaird2001
Advantages: A amazing ski to many adavntages.A perfect ski for any ability.
Disadvantages: NONE
Well I bought these ski's at Snow and Rock in Sheffield and when I first used them in the half pipe (carving, steeps, new school, race there good for all) they were really responsive and the stiffness add's to the excellent qualities. Then I took them to Val Thoren at Easter and one cruisy blue's and reds they were so responive and had such a great turn radius and on black runs and off piste they are so agile. The price is perfect I got mine for £200 ...

A real nice all mountain ski
Review of Blizzard CMX PRO IQ by
bikoDog
Advantages: Price, responsive and stable
Disadvantages: Not a ski for extremely high speed
Just spent a day at Killington on my CMX Pro's. I was skiing the whole Mtn with friends and was very pleased with the snappy response of these boards. THey carved very nicely and were responsive on quick turns. Edge hold was very good on steeps and in icey areas. THis isn't a GS or racing ski, but for the advanced intermediate or low-level expert, a REAL nice board.
I should say that price was my main issue here. These were the 2007 (last yrs) model ...

They have barely changed in 2 years - Wonder Why!?
Review of Rossignol Bandit B2 Skis by
volcom
Advantages: Durability, speed and control - Superb!!
Disadvantages: There's no snow!
Rossignol have kept these bad boys pretty much the same for the past 2 seasons simply because there is nothing they could do to make them better! These skis are guaranteed fun, on or off-piest. I'm going to keep them for at least 10 years.
Not quite as fast as my old school Rossignol 198's but then again Bandits are like paddles in comparison. The wide structure does help them cruise nicely over powder and still leaves you with a great degree of ... ...those of an intermediate or advanced level. Very hard to fault them but I would say they need tip guards as these do tend to get a little cut up. Not really a fault, just a good idea if you want to keep them looking as slick as they did when you bought them. ...

Ski of the year in some mags - I'm not surprised!
Review of Rossignol Bandit B2 Skis by
schneckster
Advantages: Go anywhere do almost anything - on snow, of course!
Disadvantages: Snow melts :o(
...out there and in fact, Rossignol designed the B2 for them. It's a testament to how good a ski it is if an intermediate like me can use it so easily
Durability: Survived many encounters with rocks and children!? It's well constructed and despite gouges on the base from the odd rock, the ski looked none the worse for it.
Hardness: To be as capable both on and off piste, it needs to be a little softer than piste skis. But unless you're an expert using ... ...it behaves impeccably. At high speed, it didn't chatter like soft skis sometimes do.
Design: It's gorgeous!!! And it's functional. It has this intelligent composition technology most skis have these days that means you get more out of it with the right bindings.
Type of ski: Definitely all mountain. It's a Jack of all trades, but it masters them all, too!! I can't stress enough how good I found this ski on any terrain I skied on.
Price: In the ...

Good carver for advanced users
Review of Fischer Alltrax Border-X by
PekkaPeltonen
Advantages: Good in difficult slopes, accurate handling in most situations
Disadvantages: Handling in high speed not most accurate
Based on my experience, Fischer Alltrax Border-X is a good carver for advanced users. I have used it in standard downhills (not off from the slopes) and it offers good grip from the slope.
The handling in high speed is, however, not the most accurate in the market. Fischer Alltrax Border-X is pretty durable and it most likely will last for a long time. Mine are >2 years old and they are in good shape.
Hardnes is only average eventhough it contains ... ...meant for high speed.
