Callaway have waited a long time before entering into the golf ball market. I welcome them with open arms. After many years playing the titleist hps wound ball I decided to give the callaway a go. The price wasn't too frightening although it seems worse due to them only being sold in sleeves of five or more rather than the usual three. ...was really pleasing. But the callaway really comes into it's own around the green. It's soft feel really is unlike any other ball I have ever tried. You learn to trust it very very quickly. ...won a dozen off these Callaway HX Tour black balls in a competition and am in love !! I have always played with Titleist Pro V1's in the past and didn't think anything would be able to beat them. These Callaways balls go an absolute mile when spanked off the tee with your driver. I would say slightly further than the pro v1. They also have excellent spin control when struck with your short irons into the greens. I have never had so much backspin ...

I believe they are currently retailing for around £36 a dozen but i believe them to be worth it , especially in the summer. ...had been returned to the golf ball cycle for another player to enjoy. We even associated a children's song - 'Do the noodle' with this ball, it really is that legendary. Genuinely though, this is a good ball and you can get a pack for a decent price. Currently it's the only ball I'v come across which has this aesthetically pleasing 'ice' layer. Titleist makes the best golf balls, and has proven them selfs on the pro tour for many years. This is a Titleist budget ball with almost the same performance and feel as the more expensive brother the Pro V1. The Cheeter line is very helpfull, for somone that struggles to line up his putts and can even be used to line up the driver giving you better acurisy ultimitly saving you shots on a round.
