Gorringe Soft Cord Jodhpurs
Review of Gorringe Jodphurs by LorraineHill

Advantages: Nice and comfortable
Disadvantages: Not made to last

...purchased two pairs of lightweight Gorringe cord jodhpurs in different colours. For a short while I was delighted as the Gorringe soft cord jodhpurs were much more comfortable in the summer heat than the Caldene heavyweight jodhpurs. However, my delight didn't last long as the jodhpurs soon showed signs of sagging (and yes it was definitely the jodhpurs sagging and not my bum and legs!) and they lost their elasticity. Shortly after worn patches ...
...holes. In short, the Gorringe lightweight cord jodhpurs are a nice pair of jodhpurs for the summer, but don't expect them to last much longer than the summer if you plan on doing a lot of riding. I've now purchased two pairs of heavyweight Gorringe cord jodhpurs which seem to be lasting much better but it is early days yet. Both the lightweight and heavyweight cord jodhpurs from Gorringe come in a variety of colours and can be purchased from many ... Read review

Mountain Horse Sportive High Rider
Review of Mountain Horse Sportive High Rider by sweetpea_sweetpea

Advantages: Comfortable & Durable
Disadvantages: None

I have been wearing Mountain Horse boots for years now including the ever popular 'Cheetah' boot. I have always ridden in a pair of long leather boots and normally the zips have either gone on them or the stitching which is quite frankly damn annoying! When I bought another horse about 2 years ago I decided to treat myself to a new pair of long leather boots but something which is a bit more durable and hardwearing. I dont know why I never thought ...
...boots are quite chunky. Anyway Mountain Horse hadnt had the Sportive High Rider out for long and I had a look and went into my local saddlers to try them to see what they were like, I was smitten. They were so comortable and fitted really well, I have slim legs and normally I get a gap at the back of the boot but not with these! Two years on and I still have the same pair I bought. Allbeit they were a bit worn but I have kept them in great condition ... Read review

Certainly not driza-bone!!
Review of Driza-Bone Long Riding Coat by deathknight472

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Leaked everywhere!

I bought a genuine australian driza-bone long riding coat back with me from australia having heard good reviews about them. I was less than impressed to say the least. Perhaps this particular coat was designed for the sunnier climes of australia and not the winter conditions of Britain!! The quality of the item seemed very good but it cerainly did not stand up to the weather of which it was claimed to stand up to. The coat leaked at every seam on ... Read review

Kan Teq Body Protector
Review of Kanteq Body Protector for Women by pinkhorse

Advantages: Really comfortable and safe feeling
Disadvantages: Expensive

I got this new body protector which is deisgned for women a couple of months ago and I really love it. I was initially put off by the price and weight but when you have it on you can't feel the weight at all and it is the only BP I have ever bought which i feel really comfortable in when i am riding and it feels really safe - it gives me a lot more confidence when i am riding out. My shopkeeper persuaded me to try it on when i was in my local saddler ...
...looks good too! I think if you saw it you could be put off by price but i would reccommend anyone trying it on if they got the chance to see how different it feels. The shoulders are also good as they aren't strapped around your arms so you have really good movement. ... Read review
