Review of Air O Wear by
spottydog2
Advantages: Secure, good fit.
Disadvantages: Does make you sweat a bit.
...aid for nervous riders.
Air o wear body protectors are widely available with different styles and colours to suit every rider. They are available in child sizes, mens and there is one for a shorter body length to protect shorter bodies. There are 3 levels of body protector 1,2 and 3, the airowear seems to be available in level 3, this is the highest level available. These are Beta level standards. It would be essential to have level 3 for cross ... ...foam inserts moud to the body when in use, they are easy to adjust at the body and waist and have removable mesh fabric covers for improved ventilation.
When buying a body protector:-
DON`T................
buy an old second hand one, you never know what damage it has sustained or if standards have changed since then.
buy a cheap one to save money especially if jumping, it will be false economy if you need to buy an other one to upgrade the standard ...

indestructible jacket
Review of Barbour Outdoor Clothing by
SASO1
Advantages: tough and waterproof
Disadvantages: not very cool
...can buy the wax from barbour outlets and some equestrian shops - it costs about £5 for a tin which will last several years - be warned you do not need to put much wax on the jacket overwaxing will make it sticky.
They are good for walking and riding and you can get them in different lengths including the one that goes down to your feet for the real outdoors in all weather person.
The only downside to them is that they are not that smart and you ...

Fantastic Value For Money
Review of Caldene Saddlemaster Jodhpurs by
colourmefabulous
Advantages: Flattering Fit, Not Too Expensive
Disadvantages: Perhaps a little long in the leg if you are a short person
...Money equestrian wear from the caldene makers which have a flattering fit and are very hard wearing. Great for using in the show ring, general riding, or even just for pottering around the yard. Available in most adult and childrens sizes, the jodphurs come as standard with self knee patches, an inside pocket with a zip fly and hook fastening. I have had mine for several years and wear them regularly, they certainly stand the test of time and have ...

Champion vs Cheap
Review of Champion Hats by
hhuk
Advantages: Stylish PAS & EN standards
Disadvantages: expensive has cheap look-a-likes
...hat and it was the champion ventair riding hat. This hat meets the EN1384 and the PAS 015 standards so this means it is classed as safe and you could wear it at riding schools etc. For £80-100 i wasn't overly impressed as i didnt think it was anything too special and didnt differ from my hat thats 1/2 the price! My hat is a 6 3/4 and the one i borrowed was a 6 7/8 but it was very very tight so if your going to purchase without trying i wouldnt! TRY ... ...apart from the champion it is nearly identical to my less than 1/2 price version. The only thing i did prefer about this hat over mine was the chin strap that was very cushioned and i really liked that. You can adjust the harness at the back of the hat as it is on a drawstring design so it does enable variations between riders. In my personal opinion it is overly priced and think you are paying for the name. I do have a champion jockey helmet so ...

Everyday Essentials
Review of Cotton Naturals Jodhpurs by
Joannacs
Advantages: Comfy, breathable, stylish, affordable...need I say more?
Disadvantages: If you're into showing, these jods are really better suited to everyday wear.
...try on a pair of cotton naturals, and feel the difference for yourself!
Seriously, these are the best jodphurs I have ever worn. They're comfortable, breathable, soft, stylish and affordable too. Perfect for everyday, the pull-on legging style is the ultimate in convenience and comfort and is equally practical in summer and winter. The cotton fabric is warm in winter and cool and breathable in summer - after a long day wearing these jods you wont ...
