Certainly not driza-bone!!
Review of Driza-Bone Long Riding Coat by deathknight472

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Leaked everywhere!

I bought a genuine australian driza-bone long riding coat back with me from australia having heard good reviews about them. I was less than impressed to say the least. Perhaps this particular coat was designed for the sunnier climes of australia and not the winter conditions of Britain!! The quality of the item seemed very good but it cerainly did not stand up to the weather of which it was claimed to stand up to. The coat leaked at every seam on ... Read review

Slip through my fingers.
Review of Harry Hall Crochet Backed Gloves by spottydog2

Advantages: Robust, long lasting.
Disadvantages: A bit bulky in the fingers.

...in. Harry Hall Crochet Backed Gloves. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * These gloves are Harry Hall Crochet Backed Gloves and are priced at £9.99. This is a middling sort of price for riding gloves really. You can get them cheaper but also a lot more expensive, so the price is reasonable. They are available in small, medium, large and extra large. The variety of colours are green, blue, maroon and navy. To be honest, the gloves ...
...will not last and you want to keep them smart. This is why it is important to have several pairs of gloves and these are perfect for a working type glove. Harry Hall are a reputable brand and these are long lasting, robust gloves that are reasonably priced. ... Read review

Harry Halls Hot Headwear
Review of Harry Hall Elite Riding Hat Black by hhuk

Advantages: cheap, modern looking, lightweight
Disadvantages: you have to have one

Priced from around £39-£50 depending on the required size, this hate is excellent value for money as it meets the European Standard EN1384/2001. I have owned my hat since early 2004 and it is still in excellent condition and looks brand new. Weighing 420g this is a very lightweight hat. The velveteen material is easy to wipe clean and as you can see on the picture there are 3 airvents to help keep your head cool. The padding on the inside has compacted ...
...you may need to replace but mine is fine. The chin strap is cushioned and easy to adjust and has a clip fastener so it is very easy to get on and off. The hat is available in black or navy and can be found at most good tack shops or online. This is an excellent hat for everyday use or just as a spare. On purchase, it also came with a drawstring hat bag so this helps to keep it clean and easy to carry around. ... Read review

Mountain Horse Sportive High Rider
Review of Mountain Horse Sportive High Rider by sweetpea_sweetpea

Advantages: Comfortable & Durable
Disadvantages: None

I have been wearing Mountain Horse boots for years now including the ever popular 'Cheetah' boot. I have always ridden in a pair of long leather boots and normally the zips have either gone on them or the stitching which is quite frankly damn annoying! When I bought another horse about 2 years ago I decided to treat myself to a new pair of long leather boots but something which is a bit more durable and hardwearing. I dont know why I never thought ...
...boots are quite chunky. Anyway Mountain Horse hadnt had the Sportive High Rider out for long and I had a look and went into my local saddlers to try them to see what they were like, I was smitten. They were so comortable and fitted really well, I have slim legs and normally I get a gap at the back of the boot but not with these! Two years on and I still have the same pair I bought. Allbeit they were a bit worn but I have kept them in great condition ... Read review

Kan Teq Body Protector
Review of Kanteq Body Protector for Women by pinkhorse

Advantages: Really comfortable and safe feeling
Disadvantages: Expensive

I got this new body protector which is deisgned for women a couple of months ago and I really love it. I was initially put off by the price and weight but when you have it on you can't feel the weight at all and it is the only BP I have ever bought which i feel really comfortable in when i am riding and it feels really safe - it gives me a lot more confidence when i am riding out. My shopkeeper persuaded me to try it on when i was in my local saddler ...
...looks good too! I think if you saw it you could be put off by price but i would reccommend anyone trying it on if they got the chance to see how different it feels. The shoulders are also good as they aren't strapped around your arms so you have really good movement. ... Read review
