Disadvantages: Porch uncovered when front door open

I bought this tent for a 2 night stay for just myself to use. I bought it from Go Outdoors for just £25 although other websites and shops sell them at a little more than this, most of them retail at around £35. First of all it comes in a neat little carry bag which took up hardly any room at all in my car!!! ...right, it was easy to put up and didn't take long at all. For a two man tent it has a good sized storage area or porch at the front. The ground sheet in the porch is also sewn in which saves extra faffing once the tent is up. I could easily lie down in the tent and another person would easily have fitted in there with me too. Advantages: Size, waterproof - quick to erect for size - smaller to carry/load compaired to others.
Disadvantages: Pole ropes dodgy(?), tricky to shut zip without adjusting pegs, need to tether v. well.

This is our second Khyam tent as we loved the quick-erect system. Generally we are pleased with it due to its size (family of four) - if the weather is rainy there is plenty of room. We used it last summer when the floods happened and it was also quite windy. It witheld the rain excellently - it is highly rainproof - another reason why we bought it. It can also be quite tricky to set up perfectly to ensure the zip closes on the front door again due to its size - this gets easier with practise. The Vango Venture 500 stood up to the wind brilliantly considering its size and height and as long as it is well pegged down it can withstand quite strong winds with very little problems. We had a little rain this weekend and had no problems with leaks however we have been out in fairly heavy rain before and this manages to find its way through the material so I would not recomend it in the rain, however it is only advertised ...
