Although I tool me a while to sort the cables out and position everything once all that was done the set up was easy all it was is to put in a few coloured wires in to the coloured holes and then plug it in simple. ...I've now been using these speakers for a few months now. I brought them in the Fusion 4 corner package, which contained an amplifier (EN AM6004) and a set of component speakers (En-CM525) and a wiring kit. The 6x9 speakers are currently in the boot of my corsa, in a box which I made and are being ran off the amplifier along with the components. I did originally just wire the 6x9's up to my head unit which is the Inphase IPS920SD and this has a max power output of 4x60rms. The head unit alone provided more than enought power for the speakers to run resonably well and the sound coming from them was fairly loud and quite bassy. I would however reconmend that if you wanted to get the most out of these speakers you should hook them up to an amplifier of some description. ...These 6 x 9 speakers are the best Kenwood can offer in their size and quality. HQ695 - stands for high quality 6 x 9 The frequency response is the smoothest i have seen (heard) Very simple to install, in minutes, on either a stelth shelf or in cabinets. Since my car was written off, I am using them as hifi spekers in my bedroom, and I can't be in the room when they are on half volume! They are never going to distort as they have a peak output of 260 watts each, thats 130 watts rms, you can't get a home amp big enough! They have an amazing reproduction quality over the broadest frequecy range i have seen, higher than cats and dogs can hear! Overall they are what you expect, amazing in car speakers (with a high quality amp) but also look stunning in ur bedroom put in wooden cabinets (full range speakers 3 way!!) Look to pay £150... ...What you get: 1 x pair of 13cm fusion woofer 2 x Grills 1 x pair of fusion tweeters 2 x cross-overs Speaker wire These are the set of speakers which you get with the fusion '4 corner package' (EN-4CNR). I have installed both the woofers and tweeters into the doors of my vauxhall corsa and the sound quality compared with the old factory standard ones is by far a big improvement. I am not using the provided cross-overs purely because they are rather large and secondly my car already has cross-overs in the door. Sound Quality: Originally I had some pioneer 13cm coaxiles which I was very disapointed with as they didn't even seem to be as good as my old standard speakers. When I purchased these I wasn't expecting too much from them to be honest. Like with the 6x9's which I also got in the package I have actually been rather impressed... Read review

...These were replacement speakers for some poor quality JVC speakers I had. They're run of a Sony CD headunit (4*50W) with standard speaker wire. With the cost being under £40 for a set of 6*9s I wasn't expecting anything spectacular but boy was I in for a surprise!! The quality of sound between the JVCs & Sony was just unbelievable. The JVCs gave very poor bass & when you increased the volume, it just distorted. But with these Sony X-plods the bass is good enough for me to get the regular unapproving look from elderly passers-by & the treble/vocals is perfectly audible even with the speakers near their limits. I play all sorts of music on them from Dance to Pop to Rock & it handles them all perfectly. Even though I can only turn my headunit up about a 1/3 of maximum, this is plenty loud enough to feel the bass in your back. Although... Read review
