...Could be that I am not so good with mobiles - only ever owned two (a Panasonic G520 and Nokia 8310 - power button broke) but I found it a bit difficult to get going with this A65. However my eight year old is finding it quite easy to navigate! Am now getting the hang of things and enjoy using the phone. It is WAP enabled and tri band, has predictive text and downloadable games (Stack Attack and Magic Picture are included one is a Sonic type game and Magic Picture is where you slide the blocks round to get the picture to appear - I may lose the phone a the kids love these games and think it is a mini playstation!). The ringtone choices are quite boring and limited but you can download others. The sound quality is very clear. ...I've had this phone for about 5 months now and feel ready to review it. Well to start with I got it free from a mobile network after I won a raffle to spend a day with a well known mobile network. This phone is similar to the Siemens A65 except this one DOESN'T have a camera attachment and CANNOT take photos -- that should clear a few complications up for some people. This phone is very lightweight which, for me, caused me to drop it more than any other phone -- although this happens less and less with more and more use. It's got a Colour Screen, Polyphonic Ringtones, Games, Wallpapers and can accommodate some types of picture, none real -- all cartoon/animation ones. ...We decided to visit the Lake District recently for the weekend. It would have been much nicer to have stayed for longer as it's not possible to cover the District in 2 days, however if you're going there for a few days, then this guide may help. Travelling - Travelling to the LD is not hard, in our case from the South, it is extremely well sign-posted and we decided to take the scenic route through Ilkley, Skipton (A65, A590/591) up to Windemere, not the fastest but if the sun is out, it sets you in the mood for the Lakes. An alternative route if you are coming from the South is to fight your way along the M6. Accomadation - We stayed in a B&B half way between Windermere and Bowness, 2 major towns in the Lake District. ...To cut a long story short, i ended up buying this phone for my son, although i wasn't as convinced as he would have liked me to be, as to how useful this would be. As it was to be his first mobile phone, and even though he is a bit of a whizz kid when it comes down to buttons and options, i thought an "easy to use" phone would be best. Simple to use doesn't necessarily mean that it's cheap or lacking options...in this case, simple just means that even I would be capable to work out how to use it! Well, i am blond... lol! pfff... ...It took sometime before I actually got around to purchasing a mobile phone, one reason I am still trying to assimilate WINDOWS XP. I started with a Motorola m3788. I soon found its size awkward and not suited to my needs. I needed a small phone mainly for emergency outgoing phone calls in and around town. After some discussion with my mum she surprised me with a Siemens A65 for Christmas, I had hoped to purchase my own phone for the new tax year. It's about a third of the size of the Motorola and fits comfortably into a shirt or jacket pocket. WHAT DO YOU GET? Mine arrived in a large red box about 2"x 6"x 10". ...Ingleton in North Yorkshire boasted of having a spectacular waterfall. We were staying over t'border in Cumbria, but felt it was worth the drive. Just off the A65, it was well signposted and easy to find. The weather didn't put us off, it was cold and a bit rainy but we'd taken a break in March so it was own fault really. If you're going up north then, you'd better be made of stern stuff. With me being suitably dressed in a warm sheepskin coat, thick clothes and boots we set off to enjoy the marvellous scenery that we'd been promised. We kept following the signs for the waterfall, but hadn't seen a glimpse of it yet. Undeterred we kept walking. Finally we found a sign that explained that the walk was a four mile round trip. ...and not notice it as it is located set back from the main road (Bradford to Harrogate, Harrogate RD. Just off the A65). In fact it is quite hard to find as you can almost not see the building as it is hidden behind a high wall, only being the size of a large house with all of 8 bedrooms! The car park is not big enough really, but you can park on the street outside and the area is not condusive to having your tyres stolen. I remember the fun our wedding driver had trying to do a three point turn in the car park in his vintage Rolls Royce! You definitely need to book well in advance if you want a room, or a meal for that matter as the food is excellent. Single rooms start from £40 a night with doubles £50. The rooms are not brilliantly equipped but very clean and quiet, the beds comfortable so you should sleep well. Of course I haven't tested ALL... Read review

...the Arcam A75+. The machine cost me £499.00, in February 2003 and was bought in Lyric Hi-Fi Belfast. This is a machine which Arcam have brought out after the A85 (top of the range) A65 and A75, these two did not have the same success as the first one. Arcam realised this and soon brought out the A75+. There are significant changes in the + version which include - • Improved input and feedback coupling linearity • Increased output power supply, Spec on the machine. The machine is available in Black or Silver. Much of the rear panel is taken up by convection cooling fins, with a relatively modest surface area, though the amp doesn’t run hot even with extended high volume operation. There are 5 line level inputs including a tape and a MN phono which can be switched to operate as a line input, giving a potential of 6 line inputs... Read review

...and they quoted AED 600 per day. Breakfast was AED 65 per person and hence it was not worth upgrading. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. I understand that there are quite a few cheaper joints that are available but then it is not worth the risk. I also get my Priority Club Reward points here Tipping:- It is very common and needed. In general one has to give about 10% in tips. So add that on to the services that you get. On tour's we tip the drivers about AED 20 to 25 for a half day tour or about AED 30 for a full day tour. I had booked my tours with North Tours via email and they were very friendly, helpful and adjusting. They picked me up from the Airport and my first tour started from there.
