...I spent three great years at Durham University from 94-97. I studied classics and St Hild & St Bede was my college. Durham is a small town in the mould of Oxford and Cambridge and tradition plays an important part in the whole collegiate life. I don't know who will be reading this posting but if you are looking for advice on whether Durham is a good university to attend I would say that if you are after a traditional degree education in a beautiful city then Durham is for you. If you want clubbing and night-life Durham is definitely not for you as you will become bored very soon!... Read review

...St Paul's Church On a recent visit to Bede's World in Jarrow, we also went to St Pauls church, which is a short walk through a park from Bedes World. Visitors wanting to visit the church should follow signs for Bede's World, and parking is available either just outside the church or in Bede's World The church is actually the parish church of Jarrow, and so sometimes there are services on, but when nothing is happening, visitors are welcome to have a look around. The church can be accessed from an open gate at the front, with a path leading to the door of the church or from the side, which is the entrance which leads from the park. ...meet? Lets hope we meet ASTRONAUTS, AVIATORS, and ADMIRALS – let’s be sure to only mix in the right circles. But if we meet ADVERTISING EXECUTIVES and ACCOUNTANTS we mustn’t be rude! Is it possible we might bump into somebody famous? Could we soon be rubbing shoulders with Joss ACKLAND and Jennifer ANISTON, with Clive ANDERSON and Robert ALTMAN: what fun we will have! Perhaps we could watch a play at the ABBEY or the ALBANY; what characters might we see? AARON THE MOOR or ADAM BEDE, AMELIA or naughty ARIEL? Maybe ALICE, ALADDIN, the ARTFUL DODGER or ALI BABA would be more fun. Something by AESOP or Hans Christian ANDERSON would be lovely for the children. ...Big Daddy stars Adam Sandler who is like he always is hilarouis who adopts a kid as he was left on his doorstep adam takes the boy under his wing in this extremely funny film that shows Adam Sandlers adventures with his kid. Yet he gets attached to the kid and wants to keep him, the home find out he took out the kid with a false name, and take him back to give him to the real father, who is Adams best mate so adam scan still see the child. ...I have shopped in Adam`s for cloth`s for my daughter for about a year now. I find Adam`s great value for money and the cloth`s that i have purchased have all been good qaulity and take alot of ware before looking old. This is one of my hate`s about bying baby clothe`s,the amount of money that i can spend on expensive cloth`s for her,and they end up old very quick. Adam`s has a good selection of cloth`s for both girl`s and boy`s,they sell socks,underware,pj`s,jacket`s,school,casuall and dress cloth`s. they also sell premature and newborn cloth`s,soft pram toy`s,blanket`s etc: I find this a great shop for shoes. I had problems finding baby size2 shoes that were hard sole,when my daughter started to walk. It would be worth your while,to take a look at any Adam`s sale,you can buy their clothes for virtually nothing. Also.for every £30... Read review

...In terms of commercial success this is not one of Bryan Adam's better albums. The follow-up to the Reckless album was always going to be virtually impossible. However, in terms of memorable songs I think this is an excellent album and contains some even better songs than on Reckless. Probably not as catchy on the first listen but songs such as "Native Son", "Rebel", and "Remembrance Day" just grow on you the more you listen. The rest of the album contains some fine guitar work and it?s the final chance to hear the remarkable song writing combination of Adams and Jim Vallance. Simply a MUST purchase for any Bryan Adams fan.... Read review

Advantages: stops other cats getting in???
Disadvantages: other cats can get in with force

...I had the old magnetic cat flap and this appeared to be ineffective from other cats, especially as1 of our got the style of cat flap. The fitting of the infra red flap was a straight swap for the megnetic one, however I had to go out and buy some glue as I had to fit the optional tunnel which should have been fitted as standard. Fitting the catflap took about 20 min, as we already had the hole from the other one. The flap worked perfectly with both of our cats having no problems, however there does seem to be a very determined Tom cat that seems to force his way in and spends the night on our dining room chairs and has our cats supper, our 2 stupid cats never chase him off, He has even come in one day and sprayed over 1 of the cats beding, and boy did it stink to high heaven(why do people want un nautered toms???)this bedding we threw... ...Where would i be without shops like Adams! With an always growing toddler i find myself having to buy new clothes for hime every 4-6 months at the moment but i know that i will be able to get good quality, good fitting and fashionable clothes for my son at Adams. Their sizes always seem to be good, not too generous and not too small. There is always a good selection of what i call "Rough" wear such as tracksuits and soft clothing ideal for nursery and running around the park. Also find that items wash well and keep their colour over and over again. Adams always seems to be having a sale which is good for us parents but cant be good for the Company..however keep it up for our sake!... Read review

...My first purchase in my local Adams shop was a set of three cotton sleepsuits. I was very impressed with the quality of the fabric, and also the way they stood up to repeated washing. The only problem I had at my local Adams shop was that the baby department was upstairs and there was no lift - OK when I had my baby in a carrier but not at all convenient with a push-chair. Having said that, it was worth the inconvenience just for the range of clothing available, and the style of it. I would say that Adams manages to be trendy without sacrificing quality. I would recommend anyone to check Adams out - it is a specialist children's clothes shop and it's also possible to open a store account which may be useful for budgeting.... Read review
