A joy to walk in
Review of Adidas Golf Shoes by
kimborob
Advantages: comfort and durability
Disadvantages: none
...Having tried several different shoes over the years, my last 3 pairs have been Adidas and I would not buy anything else. When you are walking several miles during a game of golf, shoes, next to golf clubs of course, have to be the most important outlay. It is important that you chose a correct fit and that the shoes are comfortable and functional.
Adidas, who are of course famous for making training shoes have a wealth of experience, about 75 years I think, and seem to have used it wisely in the design of their golf shoes range.
They offer several different types of golf shoe from the more traditional style to a training type shoe which seem to be becomming very popular amongst professionals.
Uli Robbecke, the Eurpoean Product Manager of Adidas Golf says " The golf shoe design is more and more influenced by sport shoe design...

Get A Grip!
Review of Adidas Tour Traxion Golf Shoe by
the_mad_cabbie
Advantages: Comfortable, waterproof, stylish, good grip.
Disadvantages: Make sure you break them in properly before you hit the golf course!
...I wasn't over enamoured! The runner-up spot in a team competition last summer at my golf club won me a new pair of golf shoes. Problem was, they weren't the Footjoy brand that I normally wear and which have served me well down through the years, but a pair of white Adidas shoes with black stripes which for all the world looked like a pair of my teenage daughter's trainers.
I was even less enamoured when I discovered that they hadn't been purchased in the club professional's shop, which meant I couldn't exchange them for something else. Not that they were a bad looking pair of shoes mind you. Called the "Adidas Tour Traxion" they are a slightly less expensive version of Adidas's best selling golf shoe, the "Tour 360", which is worn by many of the top tour professionals.
Anyways, as my old pair of Footjoy Dryjoys were becoming slightly...

Have You Hard Or Soft Balls?
Review of Srixon Distance Golfballs by
the_mad_cabbie
Advantages: Cheap to purchase. Virtually indestructable. Travels a long way.
Disadvantages: Hard to control, with little or no spin control.
...in the USA and Europe) is a Japanese manufacturer called Srixon. (Sumitomo Rubber Industries)
They are not inexperienced in the making of golf balls however, as they have been one of the leading manufacturers in the Far East since as far back as the 1930’s, when they made Dunlop, Slazenger, and Maxfli golf balls under licence.
Nowadays they are part of the Adidas/Taylor Made Group of companies, and their own brand Srixon golf balls are to be found wherever golf is played.
~ ~ In common with most other golf ball manufacturers, they make a range of golf balls to suit different types of golfers
The Srixon Distance golf ball I am reviewing here is their “budget” ball, designed specifically for the longer handicap golfer, (about handicap 16 to 36) who isn’t so concerned about spinning the ball, or working it with draw or fade from either the right...

First Class
Review of First Sport (Shop) by
Jugglejo
Advantages: good range of stock
Disadvantages: not always the right prices
...Being a top employee of this great shop I cant really say much against it (well i could but that would be totally unloyal of me and i dont want to loose my job).
The range of shoes that come in to the store are exciting and cover a wide range of sports. The clothing for men, women and children is available in a variety of materials, styles and sizes in all the brands:
New Balance
Nike
Adidas
Reebok
Ellesse
Fila
Yves Saint Laurent
Kickers
Sergio Tacchini
O'Neill
Vans
To name but a few.
The accessories are of a great scale too - squash, tennis, badminton, rugby, football, golf, gym, you name it, we have it - even snooker. There are queues in some of our smaller stores but we do try to keep them as low as possible and we are proud to say that customer service is high on our list.
BUT be warned: working in my store my mean that you...

Clima Cool is great for the nice weather
Review of Adidas Clima Cool Ladies by
yilshane
Advantages: Climacool great in the summer
Disadvantages: Wet feet in the rain !
...I am an avid golf fan and I recently purchsed a pair of these climacool ladies golf shoes. I purchased them because I own a pair of climacool trainners and thought that they would be just like wearing trainners. Let me tell you that they are not. I bought them from Ebay at £13.00 with £5.00p&p, which at the time I felt that they were a bargin as all other golf shoes that I had taken a look at were starting from £25.99 going right up to £60.00 and £70.00.
The shoes themselfs took me four games of 18 holes to break them in, which was very very uncomfortable for my feet, and they are nothing when compared with the climacool trainners.
The climacool material itself is fine when playing in the nice weather, but if its been rainning or if the greens are being wartered down then you need to take an extra pair of socks with you...

Review of Adidas Shower Gel by
nholland
Advantages: Smell and packaging
Disadvantages: price
...This product is fresh smelling shower gel designed for use by the sporting male, the smell is refreshing.
The packaging is black, with the adidas logo on it, with handgrip design shape. The shower gel lathers up well and comes a a whole range of products for the sporting ones amongst us. The best thing about this product it comes in small kit bag sizes so you don;t have to carry around extra weight!
This product also comes with promotional money off coupons at the moment, available when you buy any other of the adidas range of personal accessories....

Great game, just too easy to master
Review of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 (PS2) by
TallPaul73
Advantages: Excellent graphics and gameplay
Disadvantages: Just too easy!
...Golf. Not the most interesting of sports you have to admit. Slightly better to play than to watch. And before anyone questions me I will admit that I do play golf every now and then, although not that well. So even though I am very much into my PS2 and I like playing golf I’ve never bought a golf game before (although have played a few on friends PC’s and consoles) because basically I thought it would short term fun and then get dull It wasn’t until my girlfriend wanted a game we could play against each other (cosy I know!) that I considered buying one. I did a quick search of the Internet and the only ones I like the look of was the Tiger Woods series by EA.
I had a look at Tiger Woods 2005 but the cheapest I could get it was for around £30 and to be honest I wasn’t prepared to pay that (call me cheap if you like!). So I scoured...

JJB Sports
Review of JJB Sports (Shop) by
CADiaper
Advantages: Cheap, Good Quality, Vast Range, Good Brands
Disadvantages: None
...I'd be suprised if you hadn't heard of JJB, they have become very big competitors of other stores in the past few years and nearly cut out all the competition.
JJB was originally formed in 1971 but I don't it really become huge until about 1998, by this time they had over 410 stores across the nation.
They sell:
Sports Clothes
Footwear
Exercise Equipment
Football, Rugby kits
Bikes
& Golf Equipment...at incredibly low prices.
The brands include:
Nike
Adidas
Reebok
Puma
Hi-Tec
Kappa
LCS
Patrick
Umbro...
... and many more.
All of their products are of decent quility and I personally think the prices are reasonable. It's good for getting P.E kits for school.
They do seem to be on a downfall though, Sports World/Sports Direct have slashed their prices up to 80% of the retail price and are overtaking, people might think that's great...

I know nothing about golf, but I know one thing...
Review of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007 (PSP) by
ps2gamer890
Advantages: Decent Sound effects, It's got Tiger...
Disadvantages: Sup-par (Ha ha) Graphics, Lack of decent tutorial..
...I must confess to readers that before I go any further with this review, I know hardly anything about Golf. I understand the basic rules, and what the objective is, but apart from that I am mostly in the dark.
I will therefore carry on with this review in a way that any average guy who bought this game would write it.
When you first load it up on the PSP and get to the menu screen, you will see that there is no cohesive help or a training mode for amateurs like me. In order just to play the game, and I mean hitting the ball with the club, preferably hard, you have to skip the character selection, and if you do you will have to play as a rubbish fat guy who is uglier than a photo of Michael Jackson superimposed with a dog.
There is a (at best) 15 minute tutorial, which tells you virtually nothing about how to play the game, only...

My general view
Review of Adidas (Shop) by
sid
Advantages: some good products
Disadvantages: not as appealing as before
...Adidas is a sports label that I used to wear when I was younger, but these days, I have gone up in the market a little and treat myself to lacoste or Nike. I think that Adidas was once up their as a quality brand name, but I feel that they have not really come up with good in the last several years.
I know my brother has Adidas football boots, but he too wears other names as opposed to this one. Whilst other names have come out with new designs, Adidas have not really done so, and that is why many people I know don’t rate them.
Price wise they are reasonable and affordable for parents. I don’t know if I got this view of them because I have worn and tested the product and now have the chance to look around where in the past I would by them because I had little money or they were good.
I’m sure you are reading...
