Have you felt the Aeratated bubbles melt yet?
Review of Nestle Aero Bubbles by  chocolate26

Advantages: Mint flavour bubbles that melt in your mouth.
Disadvantages: a moment on your lips a lifetime on the hips

...I wouldn't usually write about chocolate but since these little balls of heaven were released into the shops I just can't get enough. Both my partner and I are addicted to them. Aero bubbles taste just like Mint Aero but better. They are the same size as Maltesers but consist of Aerated milk chocolate with a shell of mint chocolate. From the second you put it in your mouth you can taste the mint chocolate. If you are a patient self disciplined person then you may want to suck on the balls to feel the bubbles in your mounth. I'm not that kind of person so I just gobble them down. I recently purchased the 147g bag which was £1.20. The smaller bags can be found in most shops for 43 pence. A lttle bit expensive at the moment but I'm sure this is just because they are new. The price doesn't put me off because they are well worth... Read review

Maybe I'm not cut out for motherhood...
Review of Benjamin Toys Sea Monkeys by  marymoose99

Advantages: The excitement, seeing them grow
Disadvantages: The devastation, they keep dying on me.....

...an excellent card saying “Dave went home with a real moose” (complete with picture of a moose) and my £15 (5 of us each put in £3 on birthdays). Excited, I went straight onto the Internet and chose my sea-monkey set. I went for the Magic Castle as thought it looked quite cute – there are a wide variety available including an alien theme, and a posh looking office executive tank. I was so excited at the time that I wasn’t really thinking about looking around to get the cheapest price, and my main concern was getting them delivered quickly! The set comes with tank, a plastic pippet type thing (called the million bubble aerator), a plastic school for food and plasma – 4 packets – one of water purifier, one of sea monkey eggs, one of food (this lasts a long time as they only get a tiny scoop) and one of plasma (special powder stuff). I bought... Read review

Wish All Balls Tasted This Good!
Review of Nestle Aero Bubbles by  ailuj34

Advantages: OOoooh Suprisingly Different!
Disadvantages: None

...OOOOO Nestle Aero Bubbles OOOOO 'Aerated milk chocolate in a shell comprising milk chocolate and green, peppermint flavoured halves'. OO Why These? OO I admit it, I didn't buy these for myself, a relative brought them for me! OO What Are they?? OO What a suprise! Not really taking much notice of the packaging, I opened that packet and dived my hand straight in! When removing my hand from the packet - out came a neat round ball of chocolate which was half green and half brown. I felt like I was in Willy Wonkas garden! Only I had woken up and this was my house and not some huge sweet filled place or gorging! (Well, not on week days anyway!) Each 'bubble' is over three quarters of an inch in diameter. OO Packaging OO This is a white based packet about six inches by three inches (nice). The packet... Read review

Keeping my best friends healthy
Review of Interpet IPF Duo No2 (450L/Hr) by  scuba_angel

Advantages: efficient, quiet, does what it claims to do
Disadvantages: none

...which is meant to be carbon/zeolite held in a small container before being blasted back out of the unit mixed with the air drawn from the surface. Thus giving the dual function of aeration and filtration for your tank. But In my experience the carbon media I have was too small grains and when put in the small container was being pulled out itself and blasted in to the aquarium - resulting in a mess which while not dangerous to fish really wouldnt be doing its job. So I relplaced the carbon with filter wool (the light fluffy filter media which can sometimes be seen at the bottom on aquaria below the gravel as part of a different filtration set up) the benefit of this is it can be packed as tightly or as loosely as you want so can filter even the smallest particles as well as being washable like the sponges. The rate of filtration can... Read review

Who needs a lawn boy, I do it myself
Review of Member Advice on Gardening by  alliecat

Advantages: A lawn can give you great pleasure if you take care of it
Disadvantages: Its sweaty work

...considered getting a man in to deal with it, but paying a professional could be pricey and I am on a limited budget, so I decided to opt for Do It Yourself. DIY used to be frowned upon, but these days it has become quite acceptable – trendy in fact, and everybody does it (even if they don’t like to admit it). I blame Alan Titchmarsh myself. A simple tool or two is all you need, plus a couple of preparations for top dressing and a method of keeping down the growth. Whilst once you would have had to send away by mail order to a specialist supplier for your tools, now Do It Yourself stores have sprung up in every town. They will be able to offer you everything you need to see to your lawn, from simple poking tools called aerators to ranges of mowers powered by hand, electricity and exotic ride-on models with all the latest... Show Your Mother In Law How Much You Care
Review of Nestle Baci by  Champ666

Advantages: Expensive Present For The Mother In Law
Disadvantages: Small and Pathetic

...Baci consist of a wafer cup containing an aerated hazelnut cream filling topped with a whole roast hazelnut and covered in a blend of milk and dark chocolate, Baci apparently is also the Italian word for Kisses. When a confectionary company puts that much thought into chocolate then you know that they are being put in the expensive to impress the bird bracket. However I feel that it is my duty to test anything before I give it to her…… Ok so it comes in a red box with posh corners which is a little bit poncy if you ask me, but at 59p for 2 of these babies then you expect poncyness. Next up is that the two sweets are contained in a plastic wrapper on a cardboard boat, and if that is not enough packaging they are wrapped in a plastic and goldish foil type thing. This totally lacks class in my book if it is that good then it should sell... Read review

Review of Evengreener Compost Trowel by  bob77777

Advantages: I was wondering what to fill that 23" space in my shed with
Disadvantages: Worse than useless

...I have recently got into home composting. I took delivery of my first compost bin last year, and wanted to do it properly and add the right stuff to it. I read all the literature from the council that's recently become available, and took fun from educating the family about what I wanted saved to put in it - 'green' items (fruit and veg waste, grass, etc.) that provide Nitrogen, and 'brown' items (egg boxes, loo rolls, hay, small twigs) that provide air gaps for the bacteria and wildlife that break down the materials. You have to get the proportions of 'browns' and 'greens' right; about half and half is good. I also learnt that it's essential to aerate the compost every couple of weeks, either by skewering it, or better, turning it over. I started out mixing up and turning my composting material with a garden fork. This got... Read review

Keeping my favourite friends.
Review of Tropical Fish Care by  scuba_angel

Advantages: looks beautiful
Disadvantages: surprisingly hard work

...I went to the shop to replace them I saw a display of Guppies and fell in love with the little bright fish. Asking the sales man about the extra things I would require to keep them led me to the purchase of a 50watt heater and budget air pump, along with the fish. But as I didnt know what I was doing I managed to kill these fish fairly quickly. So after a chance discovery of another aquarium shop (Cascades near Ripon), I bought a few more fish but once again they died fairly quickly - in a matter of weeks. But in this time I had also purchased a second hand Jewel 80ltr with the accessories for it to be a tropical set up, I paid just £60 for what if I'd purchased it in a shop would have been nearer £200 worth of kit (tank with hood and light, two filters one which is the Jewel one that came with the tank and an IPF Duo with aeration... Birthday Boy Bags Belgian Belly-Busters
Review of Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Belgian Chocolate Assortment by  netstation

Advantages: Nice packaging. Fair selection. Chocolate!
Disadvantages: Calories, and no prawns.

...like a miniature cornetto. One of the best here, a strong hazelnut taste and very smooth milk chocolate, like the Lindt stuff in the lilac wrapper. Overall 9/10 Fantasia Sainsbury’s say: A plain chocolate cup filled with a swirl of rich Grand Marnier mousse. Netstation says: Really good, strongly flavoured plain chocolate shell containing a mousse of just the right texture, not too aerated and not like a paste. Shame there is almost no noticeable Grand Marnier. It’s hard to explain, you know there’s something there, but if I hadn’t read the description first I’d have been hard put to say what it was. Overall 7/10 Noisettine Sainsbury’s say: A deliciously smooth hazelnut and almond praline, covered in milk chocolate. Netstation says: Why is it that there’s only one of the good ‘uns. This is really nice, very smooth milk... Read review

Make your tap more flexible
Review of Tap Adapta by  laramax

Advantages: Better direction control, less splashing, spray option, soundly made
Disadvantages: Not cheap

...Quite often the simplest of gadgets can be the most effective and that is very true, in my view, of the wonderful little Tap Adapta from Lakeland Limited. I first bought a Tap Adapta many years ago and had to remove it last year when I had a new sink unit fitted in my kitchen. Sadly it wouldn't fit my new tap so it lay in the drawer until a few weeks ago when I finally found all the little adapters in a cupboard (which I had put away in a 'safe' place) and was able to refit it and this has reminded me of just how much I missed it. Basically the Tap Adapta is a fitting which fixes on to your taps to provide a choice of an aerated water supply from the tap or a spray. However it is also cleverly designed with a 360 degree swivel head to allow you to direct either the stream of water or the spray in whatever direction you choose... Read review
