My Kawasaki ZX6-R (2003 version)
Review of Kawasaki ZX6R by
gixxer_loui
Advantages: excellent torque and performance and excellent chassis
Disadvantages: riding position can be a strain after a fir bit of miles on a trip
...I have owned my 636 since it first came out.
I have found the sharp response of the chassis when cornering to be close to perfect. I have ridden an R6 and also ridden with R6's on rideouts and I would say the 636 (2003 model to present) has the edge on corners. I would say the R6 wins on comfort (easier forgiving seat) and also riding position. I did feel the strain after around 70 - 100 miles on the bike on some trips. That however is due to the race nature of the bike. The riding position is one of which was designed more for a racetrack.
I have many good rideouts on my 6r and find that when I let a rideout 'friend' take the bike for a spin; they always come back with a smiling face and praise the bike then-on.
I have attached a 'slip-on' Akrapovic aftermarket exhaust on it now and the sound is one which will make you speechless...

Bolt.com is the best
Review of bolt.com by
SerraPaladin
Advantages: Very various.
Disadvantages: Useless stuff included and a bit slow sometimes
...When I'm at the Internet, I open at least 2 windows: ciao.com and bolt.com. I like bolt.com. It's a community center with more than 10.000 members from all over the world. Bolt.com has several abilities: the bolt notes, a e-mail server, countless chatrooms, a webhosting service, the famous bolt boards and many other options. The bolt notes are for small notes to send to other members. The e-mail server is of course for e-mail. One of the most important things here is that you don't get any junkmail. There are chatrooms for the members and the boards are messenge boards with topics variating from soccer to packing your baggage, from school to american wrestling, from sex to chicken. I think bolt is the best and I am happy to have found it. It is one bunch of cool people and one of the best ways to get long distance friends....

Bolt is Brilliant...
Review of bolt.com by
Psammead
Advantages: Great fun
Disadvantages: Addictive
...Ever since I got the Internet in November of last year, Bolt has been like a second home to me. I was just messing around on a search engine one day when it popped up onto my screen like magic, and from that moment I was hooked. If you take a look for yourself then you’ll understand why. But if that isn’t enough to entice you then I guess I’ll just have to explain exactly why Bolt is without doubt one of the best sites on the web.
By now you’re probably asking me ‘so what on Earth is it then?’ That’s a good question, and one that isn’t entirely easy for me to answer. If I was forced to give Bolt a label then I suppose I would describe it as a message board forum aimed at teenagers and young adults, but Bolt is far more than that alone. Among many things, the site provides free email...

4 Million members can't be wrong.
Review of bolt.com by
evilswan
Advantages: Good content, nice people, lots of members.
Disadvantages: Evil capitalist marketing scam.
...Bolt is an online community for teenagers and college students. With over 210 million page views a month, and 4 million members, it's a busy site. Members sign up with a simple screename, and every member gets the following in their profile:
"About me", a place to list your interests and tell other members about yourself.
A diary section that allows you to keep a passworded electronic diary on your account. Useful!
"Tagbook" that lets the users pose questions that the rest of bolt can answer by viewing your profile.
Users can gain badges by participating, and the vast majority of bolt's content is generated by bolt's members. Messages can be sent between members (called "bolt notes") instantly, and an email address (your membername @ bolt.com) is provided free. There's so many features to bolt it's easy to get immersed in it. Because...

Like a bolt out of the blue
Review of bolt.com by
Ethak
Advantages: Colour and different things to do
Disadvantages: Needs small down load so doesn't woek at college
...ukbolt.com and bolt.com
I don't really use this site anymore as it can be quite slow and the computers at school wont load the chat, but when I used the chat site at home it is a quite good one. The layout and design is good and there are hundreds of rooms to choice from. You can even create your own room and lock it when you have everyone you want in it for privacy and security.
This chat site allows you to use different colours in your speech which is a nice touch.
Bolt also has a number of other features including such as bolt notes and searches so you can match friends to your interests. You can also post discussions on interesting topics, keep a diary (private or public) and write pieces for there boards and you can recieve badges and merdit if you do well.
Bolt attracts young people from all over the world with a wide age range...

bolted
Review of bolt.com by
eechey
Advantages: range of people, free web space and e-mail
Disadvantages: can be slow, server has 'off days'.
...I like bolt.com. I really do. I've been around there for about 2 years and I'm a regular on the cool/uncool board and various others. I'd have to say that I think the boards are the best feature though - the chat is pitiful and the clubs vary wildly, depending on the people in them, and obviously the subject.
I've talked to loads of people through bolt that normally I'd never have been in touch with - there's a real variety of people, from 13 (minimum joining age) right up to 25+ (there are college and university boards and features) and from all over the world. uk.bolt is much more limited, has fewer facilities and features and fewer members. I tend to stick to the US site.
If you're the kind of person who like chatting, being opinionated and meeting new people, then you'll like bolt....

The best starter bike ever built!
Review of Suzuki SV650 by
fezza101
Advantages: Cheap, easy to ride, insurance friendly, great first bike
Disadvantages: Build quality, when you park it next to a 900 or 1000cc, you'll want rid
...around roundabouts and take tight junctions on too - handy when you are used to the big handlebars of a CB500!
Once i got used to the bike, i found it a real pleasure to ride, soon came an Akrapovic full race system and a full fairing to boot. The bike sounded amazing and turned alot of heads too. One thing still bugged me though, everytime i parked next to a GSXR or a blade or even ZX6R's i turned into the green eyed monster! Yes, it looked good - it just didnt look as big and sporty as the others, the big gap behind the front wheel and the small fairing made it look so small next to the others.
In fairness, i had showed up alot of bigger bikes around the twisties, and some even on the straights once i was used to riding it. I just wanted something that looked a little nicer.
So i sold the SV and bought an 05 reg GSXR600. To be honest, 2...

Great for those with international friends
Review of O2 - International Talk & Text Bolt On by
liz1102
Advantages: Great value package that will bring down your international phone costs for a one off small payment payment
Disadvantages: None!
...O2 - International Talk & Text Bolt On / International Caller Bolt On - "Call from the UK to abroad from 5p per minute and text for 10p"
A note about the name: to those who subscribed before 19th August 2005, the package was called 'International Talk & Text Bolt On'. After August 2005, the website refers to it as the 'International Caller Bolt On'. The literature I was given in February 2006 still called it 'International Talk & Text Bolt On'. The activation number and code word are the same, and the price of the bolt on is the same, so for the basis of this review - they are the same thing.
This Bolt-On is the sole reason why I switched to O2 in February, and I don't anticipate moving away from it quickly. The majority of my texts and long calls are to an American mobile number. Previously on Orange (I'm not sure which tariff, I...

Peugeot Bolts what a farce
Review of Peugeot 106 1.1 by
dsp22dsp22
Advantages: Cost effective, nice little car to drive
Disadvantages: Can't do maintenance on them.
...106 - lovely little car but working on it is a nightmare. All I wanted to do was change some brake pads but just couldn't find a socket to fit the brake caliper bolt. When I gave up and squeezed myself under the car to take a good look at the bolt I found that the reason that no socket would fit was that the bolt head had 5 sides not 6 like every other bolt on the planet !!! I think that part of the reasoning is to ensure that you don't try and remove it with a spanner (and strip it) but more likely just to ensure you take it to the dealer.
So be warned, you'll have to find the right tool (I couldn't), get one of those magic 'fits all' socket sets or just resign to going to the professionals :)
Other places where proprietry fixings are used : distributer cap, battery.
Just things to be aware of if you ever consider doing work...
