Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter... and Spring
Review of Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter And Spring DVD by
No_name
Advantages: A film of rare beauty; by turns humane, perverse and tender
Disadvantages: None
...Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter… and Spring is possibly one of the most beautiful films you are ever likely to see. That I had to say first.
The director, Kim Ki-Duk, is perhaps one of South Korea's most prolific, occasionally controversial (see Bad Guy and The Isle to understand why), filmmakers working today. Allegedly, Kim Ki-Duk though an art student, never saw a film until he was thirty. Now whether this means he never critically watched films prior to his thirties, had literally never seen a whole film or if he is attempting to create a mythology for himself much like Hitchcock might have done is hard to know. But it is hard to believe with the proliferation of cinemas, with film regularly appearing on TV that Kim Ki-Duk could really contrive never to watch a film for thirty years. Nevertheless, having seen his 'first...

WHO SPRINGED YOU THESE SPRING ONION CRACKERS
Review of Marks & Spencers Spring Onion Crackers by
fromthedarkside
Advantages: Worth the money! Quite nice tasting, Worthwhile eating, From M&S,
Disadvantages: Needs a bit more flavour but they are nice!
...I am a big biscuit fan! I have tried a range of biscuits, and in today’s business market, there is a huge variety of biscuits available for everyone to buy, with a range of companies producing great tasting biscuits. From rye crackers to chocolate covered digestives, the range goes on and on.
But in the opinion I write today for everyone to read, I will be commenting and reviewing a product from a shop you well know and have heard of. Yes it’s Marks & Spencer’s.
Marks & Spencer’s infact have a great line of food products, I am a big fan of their food products and they are have high standards and are good quality.
Today I will be chatting about M&S’s ‘Spring Onion Crackers’! Yes it’s in the name, not crackers you pull at Christmas but crackers that you can eat and enjoy the flavour of.

A Spring Without Voices
Review of Silent Spring - Rachel Carson by
jillmurphy
Advantages: Quality of writing, quality of content.
Disadvantages: It's not what you'd call uplifting.
...I bought Silent Spring a few months ago in a fit of nostalgia. I haven’t read it for years and it’s one of my mother’s all time favourites. She’s rather green you see and Silent Spring was one of the first things to set her on the environmental path. Written in the sixties by Carson, a naturalist, it was one of the first books and certainly one of the most powerful, even now, to talk of the dangers of the wholesale use of highly toxic chemicals as herbicides and pesticides, in particular DDT. I think I’m a bit of a disappointment to my mother. I’ve grown up to be rather a half- hearted green. I bung some money at Friends of the Earth every month, I recycle, I cough up the extra for organic produce at Tesco. We’ve even got a compost bin. Not that I go anywhere near it you understand. It’s smelly. It’s my husband’s job. That’s it though...

I love Palm Springs it is a fun city
Review of Palm Springs (California) by
susan92264
Advantages: Sunshine, warmth, nude sunbathing, golf, blue skies, beautiful mountains
Disadvantages: Can be expensive, can be seasonal, can be hot in summer, not a party, clubbing city
...When you live in the cold northern part of the US, you crave two things, warmth and sunshine. Here in the US, the 2 warmest places to vacation are Florida and Palm Springs, CA. Now Florida is nice, but it has lots of bugs, mosquitos and rain. It is the rainiest state in the US. Palm Springs has sunshine and warmth. It is the sunniest city in the US averaging 350 days of sunshine a year and less then 3 inches of rain a year. When we go on holiday, we want sun not rain that's why we vacation in Palm Springs.
We love Palm Springs. One of the major reasons we love it so much is they have the best nude sunbathing resort in the US there called The Terra Cotta Inn. The owners are very nice as are all the guests.
If you have never gone nude sunbathing, you need to as it is so much fun and so relaxing. Once you have tried it, you will never...

Review of Robinsons Fruit Spring by
englishminx
Advantages: Its refereshing
Disadvantages: Still not widely available
...OK OK we all know if a new product is available on the shelves, I am the mug that buys it, but this time your wrong!!!
I actually found fruit spring in my cupboard (looks like he is just as bad as me for falling for new gimics).
Firstly, just to explain Fruit Spring is a new product made by Robinsons!
**What is it ***
Its a flavoured water drink. 84% consists of spring water, and advertises 6% is juice .... which means the 10% is all those things we hate, sugars!!!! (yuk!!)
***Presentation / Packaging ***
The bottles are a clear plastic hour glass shaped, with a large bottle top, which has a dark green plastic lid with fruit spring on it!. The plastic is very sturdy, ergonomically designed, and the wide top makes it easy to drink from.
The packaging is full recyclable too.
***Flavours ***
There are 3 fruity...

Put a Spring in your step
Review of Springs Spa by
SusanLesley
Advantages: Plenty of things to do at various levels
Disadvantages: Expensive
...As part of my friend’s 40th birthday celebrations I spent the day at Springs Health Farm with her, so I thought I would tell you all about it.
Springs is just south of Ashby de la Zouch near to Measham and junction 12 of the M42/A42.
There were quite a group of people who wanted to go, some stayed for the weekend (£209.95), some just stayed overnight on Saturday (£99.95) and three of us just went for the day on Saturday.
We chose the ‘Springs Day’ costing £74.95 payable when we booked last September. This included an introduction and coffee on arrival at 9am, a buffet lunch, a full body massage, a facial and unlimited use of all the facilities until departure at 6pm.
We arrived at 9am and were shown to the locker room where we could store our bags during the day. These were operated by a £1 coin, which...

Palm Springs: Top 5 tips
Review of Palm Springs (California) by
pxs
Advantages: Oasis of grandeur
Disadvantages: Geriatric
...Here's my top 5 tips on palm springs.
1) Bring your sunglasses. Its bang int he middle of the wonderful Mojave desert which can get stunningly hot and bright at any time of year. Its a great location - but be prepared
2) Pack your golf-clubs. If you're into golf, then Palm Springs is your place. It's got several lovely courses which are large, difficult and empty. Definitely hire a buggy - its too hot to schlep
3) Travel round. Don't miss nearby Joshua Tree National Park which is a great cactus-filled park and well worth a visit
4) Be prepared to pay. Its not a cheap place and lodging is expensive by Californian standards. We passed straight through and lodged near the Arizona border - much cheaper
5) Don't miss the huge houses - seriously rich people live in Palm Springs and they have some very nice pads. Cruise some of the wide...

Let Us Make It Clear Spring.
Review of Clear Spring Washing Up Liquid by
parker-munn
Advantages: Just the right bubbles, mild, nice smell, good price.
Disadvantages: Hard to find anywhere really.
...CLEAR SPRING WASHING UP LIQUID.
This is a 5 litre white opaque plastic container with a white plastic screw top. The washing up liquid within has a citrus aroma to it, like tangerine and lime.
The label is an orange blue and white picture of a patterned mug, cup and plate in the washing up!
It is clearly marked "Vegan" though there is no detailed ingredient list.
It says it is made from a coconut oil and palm kernel oil base with citrus oils.
This is a strong liquid, concentrated, they claim a "little squeeze" will unleash "grease cutting power" to leave your dishes clean and sparkling. Indeed, it will do the job as well as or better than any other. The "mild formulation" intends to go easy on your hands. If you have sensitive skin this is best for you.
Modern detergents can crack your skin or cause other harsh...

Palm springs
Review of Palm Springs (California) by
aspo
Advantages: brilliant views. brilliant environment
Disadvantages: Limited things to do, fairly busy roads
...Palm Springs is an amazing splace in California, which was our next stop from LA, it is on the way to Pheonix. The main tourist attraction it to travel up the cable cars up the 10000ft to the top of the mountain which give amazing views of the surrounding areas. Also up there is a cafe, a shop and achange to walk around to see the wildlife, that mainly being friendly red squirrels! Also in Palm Springs there are blocks of modern shops that have an amazing air conditioning features of spraying water over head as you walk around! Then there is a large mall, with excelllent shops and a large food court. Palm Springs is not a place to miss, the temperatures are hot and the people are friendly....

Spring roll? winter warmer more like!
Review of Asda Duck Spring Rolls by
lazza123
Advantages: The taste, the after taste
Disadvantages: Nnoe, maybe the amount of ingredients
...So what to have for tea, I fancied something different, I wanted a Chinese, but didn’t want a full blown take away. So trawling my local ASDA, I came across these. Ideal for starter I thought!
** What are they? **
These are Duck spring rolls. For your £1.88 you get 6 spring rolls, they weigh in at 180g. They are the sort of thing that you can get in any Chinese restaurant, but at a price that is very reasonable.
** What’s the pack like? **
The pack is a small plastic dish, with a card outer wrapper. The wrapper has all the detail on. There is a picture of the Spring Rolls in a “serving suggestion” basically | | |
