...Arctic Silver 5 (AS5) is one of the most recommended TIM (thermal interface materials) by enthusiasts. Its made using actual silver, which is pretty cool, and it does look pretty cool when it comes out of the tube. Applying the TIM The ideal way to put TIM on the CPU is to put on a small amount, say the size of a small grain of rice, and rub it in. The excess is cleaned off and then an even smaller amount put on and left - when the Heatsink is put on, it is meant to be 'wiggled', meaning the TIM gets spread evenly. However, AS5 is very thick which means it is hard to spread, and most of the TIM ends up in a very thick layer in the middle while there is little on the edges, which is not good, as the IHS on the CPU (the metal thing) means that the heat is meant to be transferred evenly, not just in the centre! ...I have recently purchased the Vauxhall Vectra Arctic 2.0 Diesel, 1998 (Second-Hand). To say the car is nearly ten, the wear and tear is in reasonable condition, and the handling of the vehicle is superb, I had the opportunity to test drive this vehicle (Petrol Version) when it was launched, but it did not meet expectations, it was tight to handle round corners, and the fuel consumption was high, and it just felt scruffy and clingy. So I scrapped the idea of getting one and went to fords instead. However I was given the opportunity to buy one of these cars second-hand, and I have to say the feel of the diesel is brilliant, although, not so good for the environment, the Vauxhall can do the distance on a low budget. ...was the packaging. The can is metallic blue with a light blue plastic lid. The packaging is very nice with the green cif logo and arctic fresh written with a watery wave surrounding the test. I think the can looks sophisticated with the metallic silver and turquoise, it's very eye catching. So the instructions to the mousse are as follows. You first must give it a shake so that it comes out like a spray instead of big clumps of mousse. You then spray it a little away from the bath walls to get an even coating of mouse around the whole bath. You then leave it on for 5-10 minutes to rid of the dirt and then rinse it off with a shower head or if you don't have this I think a cup should do as long as it's rinsed off. ...Arctic roll is a creation that should never have happened! Surely it came from the twisted mind of an off-duty geneticist, tired of grafting human ears to the back of mice! For anyone unsure of what Arctic Roll actually is, I shall elaborate: Imagine a small "log" of ice cream enshrouded in sponge cake, separated by the merest layer of strawberry jam. Now I know what you're thinking "I really like ice cream/sponge cake/strawberry jam, What could be the problem with that?" and I agree, ice cream/sponge cake/strawberry jam are all excellent foods ON THEIR OWN!!!! The main problem comes the fact that due to the nature of it's main ingredient, ice cream, it needs to be kept and served frozen and who likes frozen sponge? ...The Vauxhall Vectra Arctic was a Special Edition that was available from 1997 (R reg) to 1999 (T reg) and so is no longer available as a new car but can, as I did, be bought second hand. It makes an amazing buy, primarily due to the extra features that it has and that would only be found on higher priced versions of the Vectra. If you manage to get one with a low mileage too, you are on to a winner. They were only available in metallic blue or silver and with only one choice of engine, 1.8 16V petrol. I have the metallic blue version and it looks really nice. What is also good is that the Arctic is relatively cheap to insure, despite the extra features. It costs roughly the same as an LS trim model to insure but significantly less than a GLS. As a 21 year old male, insurance is always a problem but with this car you can have... Read review

...Browsing through the other reviews on this subject, I'm shocked to my very molars to discover that some people don't like arctic roll. What's that about? Why, if it was up to me, all those people would be dragged screaming from their families, put in a large room full of insane donkeys and made to stay there until they have been kicked to death. And even that would be too good for them. What's not to like about arctic roll? It has ice cream - good. It has sponge - good. It even has jam - very good. The people who make arctic roll could easily not have bothered with the jam, but they did, out of the kindness of their hearts. They're bloody saints, those people, Gawd bless 'em. ...game play my Xbox 360 froze, I assumed that it had just crashed and proceeded to reset the console, sfter turning it back on I got three flashing red lights instead of the green power lights, this is mentioned in the Xbox 360 manual as a General Hardware Failure, the console needed to be returned to Microsoft at a cost of £120.00 to be repaired. To cut a long story short, after a long investigation on my part, it turns out that Microsoft have basically cut corners in the manufacturing of the console and used a second rate conductor between the Processors and the heat sinks, over time this conductor wears out and the Processors overheat. For people with Computer Construction knowledge, this issue can be easily remedied by replacing this material with some Arctic Silver or something of similar spec at a cost of approx £7... ...I upgraded to this Heat sink Fan unit from an Akasa one and the difference in temperatures was great! With the Akasa model i was peaking on full load at 62 degrees Celsius and with the new Arctic Freezer 7 Pro i am now peaking on full load at 46 degrees Celsius. (My tower also has 3 additional cooling fans as well so i had to point it out.) The Fan being mounted on the side of the Heat sink is a great idea as heat naturally rises. Also the fins at the bottom of the heat sink direct airflow towards the motherboard components which helps keep them cool. When this initially arrived in the post i was surprised at the size and weight of it. Its huge! It was a bit fiddly to install but the fan is detachable to help. For the price it is brilliant value for money.... Read review

...Long awaited 'Favourite Worst Nightmare' is an amazing follow up to their previous and earlier album, 'Whatever People Say, I Am Not' by the 'Arctic Monkeys'. I bought this album thinking it would be good from listening to Brianstorm and 5o5, and I was right. I was so chuffed when I whacked the CD in my CD player and heard the original 'Arctic Monkeys' riffs and that distinctive Sheffield accent from the one and only Alex Turner (lead guitar and lead vocals). The lyrics, just like their previous album, are still pleasurable to listen to. Some may say this is not as good as the first album, and I can't really make my mind up if it is or not yet. Although I said it's still got the same, original, Arctic Monkeys feel and sound to it, there is yet some different kind of songs that are on this album that you wouldn't have expected from...
