Arm & Hammer Sensitive Toothpaste with Baking Soda
Review of Arm & Hammer Maximum Strength Sensitivity Relief & Fluoride Toothpaste by  Martinscholes

Advantages: Works really well
Disadvantages: None

...that do both jobs fairly well but taste so revolting that they are almost unusable. Well, as toothpaste, that is! But then there is mint flavoured Arm & Hammer Sensitive Toothpaste, with Baking Soda! Not only does this rapidly start to deal with the problems of sensitive, painful teeth, it also deals remarkable well with the actual cleaning of your teeth, as well. I would swear that I can feel the particles of "dental grade baking soda" working on the surfaces of your teeth as an exceptionally effective and kind dentifrice. The taste of baking soda might take a little time to get used to, but the benefits of having non-sensitive and sparkling clean teeth is worth a couple of times of using it far outweigh the taste of baking soda. Even though I use a good quality electric toothbrush, I have still had to have my teeth scraped... Read review

Arm and Hammer Toothpaste for sensitive teeth
Review of Arm & Hammer Enamel Care Tootpaste by  jenny967

Advantages: It really works
Disadvantages: none

...I have suffered with senitive teeth for a while now and I avoid going to the dentist unless it`s really neccassary, I`ve tried loads of toothpastes, only to find that they dont work, (well not on my teeth anyway). I seen Arm and Hammer Enamel Care toothpaste for senitive teeth advertised on television so I decided to give it a try, it cost £3.49 from Boots. Brief description Like other toothpastes it comes in a 75ml tube with a screw off lid, on the front of the packaging it tells me that this toothpaste restores surface enamel, it`s for senitive teeth and it will fix the cause of sensitivity. When I read that I thought this toothpaste is perfect for me. The flavour I got was mint, the taste is nice, it`s not to strong but leaves your mouth feeling really fresh and clean. Does it work? After about 4 days of using... Read review

A Hammer to crack a nut?
Review of Arm & Hammer The Baking Soda Toothpaste Freshmint Gel by  numberthree

Advantages: Cleans teeth with fresh minty taste and no foam
Disadvantages: Can be hard to find

...About 12 months ago my local Somerfield store closed down and there went my only local supplier of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda Toothpaste – Freshmint Gel. I was devastated. But last week I found my saviour – my new and improved Wilko’s store had it in!! I was so pleased I decided to tell you why I love it. Arm & Hammer are an American company, a division of Church Dwight & Co for those of you who like to know. They produce a toothpaste that has baking soda in as a cleaning and polishing ingredient. The two types they make are original coolmint and freshmint gel. Whilst my husband likes the original I find I don’t like the taste so I use the freshmint gel. The freshmint gel comes in 2 sizes 50ml and 100ml. The 50ml size cost me £0.85 from Wilkinsons. Each tube is green and white with the Arm & Hammer symbol – urrmm and arm... Read review

Take a hammer to your teeth
Review of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda Toothpaste by  ian4552

Advantages: Cleans your teeth very well
Disadvantages: Has a slightly salty taste

...Ive been using Arm & Hammer toothpaste for many years now. It is an American brand Made by Church and Dwight Co. Inc of Princton NJ. The major differance between this and other brands is that it uses baking soda to assist in the cleaning process I normally use the Freshmint version. However last time i went to get some there was none left. There was the Original Coolmint sitting there though. I thought why not. I paid my £1.88 for a 100 ml tube, left Boots and took it home. The main diffrence i noticed at first was the packaging. The Freshmint version is green and white with a red Arm & Hammer logo. This Original Coolmint packaging is the same design but in blue and white. Placing a little on my toothbrush, I start brushing. It has a slightly granular taste very minty and has a tingling sensation on my tongue. It froths up... Read review

Arm and Hammer Baking soda tooth paste
Review of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda Toothpaste by  liverpool21

Advantages: neutralises acidity, bleaching and whitening effect, cheap
Disadvantages: not great taste, doesnt lather bubbles much

...Well it's not my favourite but I use it because of the whitening effect and it's cheaper to get hold of.Right I use two toothpaste and do try others sometime,so that I can compare which is better.I have been using this one lately with a colgate freshmint one. Advantages: Cleaning action. Baking soda neutralises the acids generated all over the mouth after meals.Acid is produced by tiny bugs and bacteria feeding onto the food debris between your teeth. So baking soda is quite efficient in doing that. Whitening and Bleaching It's also a whitening and bleaching toothpaste offering gentle deep cleaning.I do quite agree with this too. Low abrasion. As the tube describes,it's creditted for it's low abrasion. It says witha nice little chart at the back of the tube that by using it you limit dentine(a tooth tissue, under the enamel... Read review

The Magic of Baking Soda
Review of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda Toothpaste by  Shekera

Advantages: Leaves your teeth and mouth feeling clean and fresh. Also helps whiten your teeth.
Disadvantages: None

...We have been using Arm & Hammer Baking Soda toothpaste since 1985 when we were first introduced to it during a stay at our cousin’s house in New Jersey. At the time, Arm & Hammer was not available in the UK. Actually, if I remember rightly, there was no comparable brand of toothpaste containing baking soda that we knew of on the UK market. By the end of our week’s stay, we were completely and utterly hooked on it. The untouched Colgate tube brought with us from home was left in the bathroom as payment and we found ourselves adding our new found Arm & Hammer to our shopping list to bring back home. Sixteen years later, not only do we have the Arm & Hammer Dental Care Original on our supermarket shelves, but also the Gel version. Both versions of the product leave your mouth feeling fresher and your teeth feeling... Read review

Be Warned ... Come Near Me And I'll Smile At You
Review of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda Toothpaste by  Sexy-Kay

Advantages: Makes teeth whiter, removes stains and helps keep plaque at bay.
Disadvantages: Taste may not be to everyones liking and can be frothy and messy when used.

...Tell me, do you like it exceptionally gentle, every day? I must admit I do. I've been trying it for over a month now and I'm well pleased with the results. In fact it's made me go about smiling at everyone all day long - which some of my office colleagues seem to find most disconcerting. But that's okay. If you've got it, why not flaunt it? So I do. I flash my teeth whenever I can, and the reason? Arm & Hammer Extra Whitening toothpaste, oh, and also because I'm a happy bunny as well. I spotted this strangely named tooth whitener on the supermarket shelf and it just jumped out at me. I somehow knew this would be the one for me. Firstly it was in a lovely silver box with a blue stripe on which was written 'With the power of Baking Soda'. Now that sounded a bit different from the usual minty stuff, and it also said about... Smile and the world smiles with you.
Review of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda Toothpaste by  gill1960

Advantages: Healthy teeth
Disadvantages: none in my opinion

...Smile and say cheese :o) Your teeth can be called buck teeth, crooked teeth, missing a few teeth here and there. I don’t really care, as long as they are clean. It really makes me bad, when I see people with dirty teeth, weeks of slime that is slowly turning a greenish brown. Ugh. There really is no need for it especially if you use: Arm & Hammer Original Baking Soda Toothpaste. 100ml costs £1.89 (Tesco) The tube is just like any other tube, soft plastic with a lid on top. The tube is white, silver and navy, on the front of the tube is a red circle going around the circle are the words Arm & Hammer. In the centre of the circle there is a picture of an arm (and hand) holding a hammer. This toothpaste has the extra whitening power of baking powder. I have tried other brands that claim to have whitening powers... Read review

dental exfoliation
Review of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda Toothpaste by  nomad

Advantages: clean feeling
Disadvantages: contains flouride

...I no longer buy toothpaste containing flouride, but One of the last ones I purchased was arm & hammer dental care baking soda toothpaste. I have since been on the look out for healthier alternatives. More about that later. My opinion of the baking soda flavour has changed. When I first tried it I found it so sour that i felt a little ill when brushing my teeth. My gran used to tell me to dip my toothbrush in bicarbonate of soda, sodium bicarbonate, or as she would say, "bicarb" (baking soda is probably the American way of saying it?) in order to get whiter teeth the natural way. Yeeuch. Your teeth do feel clean using that method, but there may be doubt as to whether you could keep the brush in your mouth long enough to do a really thorough job of brushing, because of the terrible salt/sour taste. If you are going to try it make... Read review

Believe It or Not, Grit Cleans Best
Review of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda Toothpaste by  Pelenya

Advantages: Leaves my mouth feeling clean and fresh, helps keep teeth white
Disadvantages: Gritty consistency of product may not appeal to some

...I have a real obsession about brushing my teeth. I suppose it's part of my "obssessive-compulsive" nature. After every meal, I must go and brush. In the middle of the morning or afternoon when my mouth feels less than fresh, a mint just won't do the trick, I must go and brush again. I've tried brand after brand of toothpaste. Arm and Hammer Baking Soda Toothpaste is, without doubt, the best toothpaste I've used. It leaves my mouth feeling fresh and clean. It also keeps my teeth looking nice and white, which is no small feat given all the coffee I drink! Although Arm and Hammer feels "gritty," I believe the actual gritty particles are what make my teeth feel smooth and clean. It makes my mouth feel almost as fresh as if I've just left the dentist's office. My daughter, however, does not agree with me. She dislikes the grit... Read review
