I publicly admit to Voyeurism - already updated
Review of B&W CDM 2SE by
From_The_Continent
Advantages: Absolutely superb midrange frequencies and very smooth treble. Neutral and yet very atmospheric. Beats many speakers at twice its price.
Disadvantages: Slight problems with three-dimensional reproduction and upper bass overemphasis. Power-hungry and thus critical with some amplifiers.
...was replaced by the CDM NT (New Technology) series, and this seems to be a rather large step in refining these already excellent speakers. The NT models employ some of the technology of B&W's top Nautilus 800 range which trades at five times the prices of the CDM models. I haven't had a chance to listen to them yet, but from what I hear they must be fantastic.
As a result of these upgrades, the original CDMs can now be had for half the price second hand, and the SE models trade at around 30% discount either second hand or in stock sales of B&W dealers.
All models come with ten years warranty, which I find quite outstanding.
The Sound
Before I discuss the particular characteristics of this speaker, I should mention that the CDM 2 generally plays far above its price. When testing...

Toshiba 28W33B
Review of Toshiba 28W33B by
christina1012
Advantages: Range of viewing screen sizes, Fantastic picture quality, price
Disadvantages: none
...I have just bought the Toshiba 28W33B 28in widescreen television and am so amazed at how brillant it is, We didn't pay a fortune for it either, (£279) which makes the very high standard of it even harder to believe.
The manual is quite easy to understand bit to much explanation on some things but overall was easy for me to understand
Fantastic picture quality one of the best i have seen in a while, shows programs and films in perfect quality,
When first switched on you may have to adjust the brightness and colour settings to your own comfortable viewing standard.
Menu selections (colour, screen adjustments etc) that come up on the television screen using the remote are easy to understand. Just remember to click on store after altering things!
Menu screen consists of picture, sound and feature,
Feature includes sleep...

Great Speaker to Upgrade your Crappy Stereo System
Review of B&W DM302 by
From_The_Continent
Advantages: Very good sound for such a small & cheap speaker. Very dynamic & roomy.
Disadvantages: Just slightly too bright, no deep bass, no bi-wiring.
...a very good speaker at a reasonable price requires far more skill. A task at which the Hi-Fi brands sold in high street shops usually fail, including such famous names as Sony, Pioneer, Kenwood, Yamaha or Technics.
An affordable cure to the typical ailments of a cheap stereo is the B&W DM 302, a speaker for £150 per pair. I bought a pair of these over a year ago as secondary speakers and use them alternatingly in my bedroom and kitchen, as well as for parties.
The DM 302 is the low-cost entry into the world of B&W Speakers, an audiophile brand which produces such legends as the £12,000 Nautilus and is a supplier to many recording studios. Not much of this high-end technology has found its way into the cheap DM 302, but B&W have applied all their skill to build a very good speaker at an almost unbeatable price. This is a small bookshelf...

B&Q Oil Filled Radiator
Review of B&Q OIL Filled Radiator 1500W by
Hsaxo
Advantages: Small, heats the fulll room, bargain price
Disadvantages: takes a whle to heat up
...B&Q Oil Filled Radiator
Bought one of these around 6months ago our heating wasn't going to be working for a couple of weeks so bought this for the bedroom. Went to B&Q as knew they had quite a selection didn't want a huge one as we don't really have much room in the bedroom.
We bought it as a replacement for the halogen that we had been using which the dogs kept walking past and singing their tails in.
It takes quite a while to heat up even when it is on full power but once it is warm it is more than enough to warm our bedroom up. It has various settings of heat so once the room is warm you can turn it down which is a really useful feature, the dial for doing this how ever does not have numbers on it and I do think it would benefit it if it did so you could turn it down a set amount and know which setting you usually use...

W960i...Bravo, Sony Ericsson!!!
Review of Sony Ericsson W960i by
jeaniecz
Advantages: touchscreen, walkman player, adjustability
Disadvantages: I've listed a few
... Sony Ericsson W960i
One of the newest Sony Ericsson cell phones on the market, a great promise, but what's inside for real - can SE live up to its promise, can't they or do they give even more?
I've upgraded to W960i after years of using W800i and a brief Nokia E51 experience.
Quick summary
The phone takes about a minute to start and you can select among switching on the phone or a flight mode - safe to use the device on board or in hospitals as a music player only.
It plays music and video files, allows you to listen to radio and browse the internet, take photos and videos as well as record sounds and keep all your important notes and agenda in one place.
It runs on the UIQ 3 system, which is a big change from Symbian, as it's not so intuitive and actually it's rather like a little computer than a cellphone. It...

Walking on Sunshine with the W880I
Review of Sony Ericsson W880i Walkman Phone by
galaxynicole
Advantages: Walkman, easy to use, battery life
Disadvantages: Camera isn't the best but not the worse
..., the music sounds brilliant.
Also, it plays a variety of music formats including MP3, AAC files and protected Windows Media files. You can set music to shuffle or repeat, rate individual tracks, create playlists as long as you like and adjust the equaliser.
But, yes, there's a but. When the headset isn't in and it's just playing your ringtone for example, it does sound a bit tinny compare to W850I. This could be because the W880I is a small and thin device whereas W850I was big, fat and bulky. Even the black one that I had sounded better than the silver one that my fiancé's got and they are the same phone. Maybe my pop, soft rock and R'n'B songs sound better on this phone than his indie, rock and metal songs.
Other music features on the phone are
Track ID, which if you record a few seconds of a song, it will search and send you...

Zanussi Condenser Tumble Dryer TCE 7277W
Review of Zanussi-Electrolux TCE7227W by
findlesuk
Advantages: Low noise level, easy to empty water container, energy efficiency
Disadvantages: Makes my washing machine look ancient!
...of the other functions……a bit annoying but you can turn this facility off!!!
Operating Noise:
I have to say it is very quiet compared to other models I have had in the past, it is in a utility room adjacent to my kitchen but the door is generally wedged open for our dog & it does not irritate me in the kitchen as my boiler out there does!
Key Facts:
Dimensions: H85 x W60 x D58 cm (standard White good under counter size!)
Energy Consumption : 4.37kWh/cycle
Final cool tumble
Energy Efficiency B
2 Heat settings
7 Kg load
Reverse Action
Sensor Action
Having decided on this model I sought out the cheapest option…although online retailers were the cheapest they charged for delivery & only gave a 1 year warranty , I opted for John lewis the average high street price, free delivery & a 2 year warranty, the second provided by them...

I.Y.T.A.T.T.I.P.G.A.M.W.A.C.I.W.M.F.K.P.B
Review of Scary Movie DVD by
Miss_BooBookitty
Advantages: A funny horror spoof film
Disadvantages: Are there too many spoofs made now
...Ok reason behind the title of my op first of all. I like to pick lines from the film but the line I want to use was WAY too long, so you have the abreviation instead...
I.Y.T.A.T.T.I.P.G.A.M.W.A.C.I.W.M.F.K.P.B means the following (As said by Cindy to Bobby)
"If you're talking about the time I puked green and masturbated with a cross... it was my first Keg party Bobby!"
(Sorry but I do love that line in reference to a classic favourite of mine, The Exorcist)
This is one of them movies that you can’t call a ‘Horror Movie’, but it is a Black comedy and that’s my second favourite genre. I was always a bit sceptical about these films, I mean the classic black comedies which take the pee (Airplane, Police Squad, and Wacko) are all funny, but that was back in the 80’s. So when scary movie was made, well I wasn’t too sure about it...
