A full night's sleep restored
Review of Grobag Sleeping Bag by
Fiona2403
Advantages: Baby doen't wake up in night cold, a full night sleep for all
Disadvantages: none?
...basket into his own cot. The blankets were abandoned while we gave the Grobag a go, and now we won’t go back. A full night’s sleep for baby, mummy and daddy has been restored.
Grobags come in lots of lovely patterns, some neutrally type patterns, some more obviously for girls and some more obviously for boys.
They come in different sizes: –
younger baby – upto 6 months (from 10lbs)
older baby – 6-18 months
toddler – 18-36 months
I’ve only tried the young baby size but believe the design is slightly different for older babies, in that instead of poppers at the top the bag zips up the front right to the top to create in my mind a top akin to a v-neck t-shirt shape.
The generous zip round the side of my bag makes changing easy to carry out.
Grobags also comes in different thickness – 2.5, 1.0 and 0.5 togs. The Grobag adverts suggest...

sweet dreams with slumbersac
Review of SlumberSac Sleeping Bags by
EmBe
Advantages: great nights sleep for baby, stops them pulling covers over face
Disadvantages: none
...My baby has just turned four months old and over the last few weeks has become very mobile in her cot, meaning she has been wriggling out of her covers and going on little adventures up and down her cot!! As a result she has been waking up in the night - just as we had start to get her sleeping through.
I had been told about baby sleeping bags by a number of people and so decided to give one a go.
I decided on a Slumbersac - a blue and dark beige sleeping bag with little giraffes on the front with blue feet.
So what is a slumbersac?
Basically, it is a sleeping bag available in different togs (weights) ranging from a 0.5 - for use in very hot rooms or during the summer right up to 2.5 which is for cooler rooms and use in the winter. The sleeping bag has a zip all the way around as well as poppers on each shoulder so that baby does...

Bag it up
Review of Grobag Sleeping Bag by
Claire75
Advantages: Baby can't kick off the covers which means more sleep for parents - YIPPEE
Disadvantages: Quite hard to get hold of in High Street stores
...When my brother first gave me a baby sleeping bag as a gift when my son was about 3 months old I thought be was having a bit of a laugh - Sleeping bags, for babies, well it just seems odd.
But it was the middle of Winter at the time and I was will to try anything to get a little more sleep.
So come bedtime I bagged up my bundle of fun and laid him down in his cot and he slept like a babe, all night and from that day on I was converted.
So mums I urge you get rid of those cot blankets this really is the way forward, they cant wriggle under them, they cant kick them off which mean baby is safe and happy so you can get on with whatever without worrying.
When Sam was six months and with Summer approaching I visited the Grobag web site to get a bigger bag. They have an extensive range of varying fabrics and designs and diffent TOGS from 0.5...

...Having used another brand of sleeping bag with my first child I decided to blow the budget and buy a "real" grobag!
they are just like sleeping bags( that you use when camping etc etc)but have flaps over the shoulders so that the baby can't fall under the covers!
Made with 100% cotton, they are easy to wash and keep clean...
they come in 5 sizes

up to 6 months
6-18 months
18-36 months
and 3-6 years!
and in different tog sizess too.so ideal for winter and also the summer..
2.5 tog to be used all year round except high summer.
1.0 tog ideal for the summer months
0.5 tog Ideal for hot summer days and holiday in hot countrys!
so no more kicking off the covers, you can go to bed reassured that your baby will be warm the whole night through..
I even take my baby out of his crib in it when feeding in the night,so he remains snug...

Safe, Snug & Sleeping
Review of Grobag Sleeping Bag by
charis18uk
Advantages: Baby Sleeps! You Sleep!
Disadvantages: They don't make them in adult sizes!
.../Young Baby sizes come with popper fasteners at the shoulder and a zip round the edge. Other sizes come with a zip at the front that starts at the top and goes to bottom.
Grobag’s come in the following Tog ratings:
· 2.5 Tog - Autumn/Winter use
· 1.0 Tog - Late Spring to Late Summer
· 0.5 Tog - High Summer/Holidays abroad/sick child
You can also increase the warmth of your baby by adding and taking away clothes. I found that using the 2.5 Tog sleeping bag all year round was okay if I monitored the amount of additional nightwear my son wore. I also had a 0.5 Tog Grobag for very warm nights. Grobag provide you with a free nursery thermometer with each purchase with recommendations for correct room temperature and clothes to be worn listed.
You do not need any additional blankets when using a Grobag except a bottom sheet.
Grobag offer...

MY LIFE SAVINGS FOR A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP!
Review of Grobag Sleeping Bag by
inycon2
Advantages: Security, comfort and aid to a bed time routine
Disadvantages: Not necessarily the way to a good nights sleep
...bedding at night.
So to sum up, I would say, yes I do recommend using a Grobag Sleeping Bag or similar, safe, alternative bag for your baby but only to allow it to become part of a bedtime routine and to avoid the dangers and problems caused by loose covers. Don't believe the hype which claims that a Grobag can turn a bad sleeper into a contented little angel overnight!

Thanks for grobags!
Review of Grobag Sleeping Bag by
cornishbabe
Advantages: Baby stays snug and warm all night
Disadvantages: Quite expensive
...ratings to suit different seasons
2.5
1.0
0.5
Every grobag comes with a little room thermometer and a guideline to show you what your baby should be wearing .
I have both a 2.5 and 1.0 tog grobag but the thermometer implies that they both cover the same temperature range so really all I needed to do was alter what little one wears at night. The grobag web page does recommend that you use the 1 tog bag for day time naps but I have never put my little one in his sleeping bag during the day.
The grobags are machine washable and can be tumble dried. Little one has been using his grobag for nearly 12 months now and it is still in good condition despite being washed hundreds of times.
The only negative is that they are quite expensive. I bought mine from kiddicare.com. It cost Ł19.99 with free delivery. I have tried other makes of sleeping...

This product is a godsend!
Review of Grobag Sleeping Bag by
Twigster
Advantages: A godsend as baby cannot kick off blankets and become cold!
Disadvantages: There isn't any!
...I first came across this product surfing the net whilst pregnant with my second child. This product wasn't available when I had my first child and I wish it had been.
A Grobag is basically just a sleeping bag for babies and toddlers. The idea is such a simple one that it is hard to understand why it wasn't invented years ago! They come in various sizes, tog ratings and designs, so everyone can find one that suits both taste and purpose.
The sizes are:-
Young baby - up to 6 months
Older baby - 6-18months
Toddler - 18-36 months
A specialist range is also available:-
Small/Premature babies 0-2 months
Young child - 3-6years.
All the sleeping bags come in 3 diferrent tog ratings:-
2.5 tog for colder months
1.0 tog for warmer months
0.5 tog for hot weather
You can buy Grobags direct from the horses mouth at Grobag.com, however...

safe snuggle sleep
Review of Grobag Sleeping Bag by
SHELLY78
Advantages: easy and safe
Disadvantages: none
...The grobag is a fantastic idea ,i had never heard of it when i had my first daughter 10 yrs ago, then when i had my second daughter in 2004 my aunt bought her one and iv never looked back.
As far as i know the grobag comes in 3 sizes 0-6 mths,6-18mths and 18-36mths.The grobag comes in three tog levels,0.5(for summer)1.0(for a cooler summer)and finally 2.5 (for winter).
The grobag that i have been using comes with a centre zip,so it really easy to put your baby in it whilst they are sleeping and also quick and easy to get them out of it.
It is a very safe alternative to blankets ,shawel etc as the baby cant pull it over there head.
The grobag is machine washable at 40 degrees and you can put it in the tumble dryer so quick to wash and dry which makes it easier on us overworked mums lol.
The grobag is priced between 17-40 pounds...

Winnie The Pooh sleeping bag 0-6 months
Review of Mothercare 2.5 tog Sleeping Bags by
Bandi2709
Advantages: snug and comfortable for baby
Disadvantages: can be expensive to buy
...Who hasn't been woken up in the middle of the night by a cold, screaming baby who has kicked his covers off, only to cover him again and, 20 minutes later, "wahhh"!!! Thank heavens for sleeping bags.
I purchased my first sleeping bag for my daughter when she was just 6 weeks of age. She hadn't been sleeping particularly well and everytime I checked on her, I found the blankets kicked off and her cold! I had read about sleeping bags in the Mothercare catalogue I had at home and so it was there that I made my purchase.
The idea of a sleeping bag is to replace the need for top sheets and blankets. You will still need the base sheet which covers the mattress. They are ideal for babies who are quite "active" in their sleep and who kick off their covers. They help to keep baby at the right temperature, help to make it much harder...
