Bandit GSF1200 Naked
Review of Suzuki Bandit 1200S by
DODGYbutwhy
Advantages: Trick parts and spares easy to find & cheaply.
Disadvantages: Need a neck brace for high speed on naked version
...Quite simply the most awesome machine on two wheels. I know it's a matter of preference but I've had the advantage of living the Sports bike versus Streetfighter scenario. I bought my Bandit 1200 this May after having a go on a friends,(incidentally mine isn't the 'S' model, but the only difference is the 'S' model is faired, otherwise they are the same bike) before that I had a Honda CBR600F for a couple of years. Yes, the CBR was quick but the Bandit is quicker. It is everything the CBR was and so much more.
The Bandit 1200 feels like it's attached to the rider. It almost talks to you. The handling is responsive and predictable and it leaves the rider confident throwing it into corners.
You hear people always talking about CC's and break horse, but the exciting bit is the torque. The Bandit 12 has is by the bucket load and whats more...

Banditry
Review of Bandits by
noel007
Advantages: Soundtrack, funny
Disadvantages: Not long enough
...2001
Cast : Bruce Willis, Billy Bob Thornton, Cate Blanchett
Director : Barry Levinson
BANDITS is an enjoyable action-comedy centring on two inmates, Joe (Willis) and Terry (Thornton), who break out of prison and become unlikely bank-robbing partners. Their tactic of kidnapping the bank manager the night before and walking into the bank with minimum fuss earns them the title ‘sleepover bandits’, and makes them the most successful bank robbers America has ever known. During their travels, however, they meet a bored housewife, Kate (Blanchett), who becomes part of the gang. Further complications follow when Joe and Terry fall for her and she for them both. She is then unable to choose between them, which jeopardises their partnership and the success of their operation.
BANDITS has many amusing moments, and the way...

There Ain't No Glory In A War
Review of Progress - Rx Bandits by
RazzaLazza
Advantages: Excellent lyrics, fine melodies, super vocals, and fantastic musicianship.
Disadvantages: More pop heavy than other RX Bandits albums, this may put some listeners off.
...When this 'Progress' album was released in 2001, the type of music that RX Bandits produce was greatly popular and in order to try and capitalise on the success of the Ska Punk genre the band here released a more pop heavy album than they ever had done before or in fact have done since. Less Than Jake and Reel Big Fish were always the leading names in the scene, RX Bandits failed to ever catapult to that sort of level of fame however but nonetheless had (and in fact still do have) a very loyal and dedicated fan base. 'Progress' was not a great commercial success, nor did it receive any real rave reviews from the leading names in the press, it is however an excellent album from the band and one that I personally have a great love of.
Fittingly beginning with an introduction track titled simply 'Intro', never does this 'Progress' album...

Worship to the Cash Cow
Review of Resignation, The - Rx Bandits by
RazzaLazza
Advantages: Brilliant use of guitars, excellent vocals, and hugely powerful drum beats.
Disadvantages: This hour of music just doesn't seem to last long enough.
...In 2003 RX Bandits released this 'The Resignation' album through Drive-Thru Records. It was their fourth studio album as a band, and their second since changing their name from The Pharmaceutical Bandits to RX Bandits. Containing twelve tracks and clocking in at just under an hour in length, 'The Resignation' is an excellent album from the band and is one that I feel contains a large number of RX Bandits best tracks.
The first time that I listened to the album 'The Resignation' I have to admit that I was not overly impressed. It's a definite grower though and after I gave it a couple of listens found myself to be greatly enjoying this album. It's now been a good few years since I first heard 'The Resignation', and I have to say that 'The Resignation' is still one that gets played by me really rather regularly. Powering off...

BMX with a 1.2 litre engine! LOVE IT!
Review of Suzuki Bandit 1200S by
jpasurvey44
Advantages: Powerful, wasy to ride, cheap and FUN FUN FUN
Disadvantages: Lots of second hands have been stunted and dropped!
...Back in 2001 I bought a second hand (or more likely third/fourth hand) Suzuki GSF1200 Bandit (Nekkid however, not the S version), I had previously owned a Suzuki GS500E commuter bike (500cc flat twin).
I was 20 years old and had 'tricked up' the GS500E to look like the streetfightered (term for personalised/modified bikes) Bandits I had seen all over the place. I unfortunately crashed that but just found it as a good excuse to have it re-sprayed, twin spotlights added and renthal handlebars to give it the 'tricked up' Bandit look. Therefore when I came to move up to a new bike I decided, on seeing an already tricked up 1200 Bandit in a local dealer, to go for it!
I was pleased to see the bike was up fro Approx £4,000 which was just in my price range. I did worry about insurance as I was only 20 but was again pleased to find out...

Halfway Between RX and Pharmaceutical
Review of Halfway Between Here And There - Rx Bandits by
RazzaLazza
Advantages: An excellent album blending Ska and Pop Punk to perfection.
Disadvantages: Better RX Bandits albums have been released than this.
...Originally released in 1998 with the band named The Pharmaceutical Bandits, 'Halfway Between Here and There' was re-released in 1999 under the bands then new name of RX Bandits. The track list was reordered for the re-release, and I must say that the second choice of ordering was far superior to the first. 'Halfway Between Here and There' was the second studio album released by the band RX Bandits, since then a further three albums have been recorded and released however. A new album tends to emerge every two or three years from RX Bandits, and given that the last studio album '...And The Battle Begun' was released back in 2006 it would seem that it shouldn't be too long until the next emerges.
Kicking off with 'What If', this is a strong album from the band blending a mixture of ska, punk rock, and even pop punk also. It clocks...

33 bhp restricted 2001 model
Review of Suzuki Bandit 600S by
MR2MK1CCW
Advantages: The original middle weight naked, good looks, comfort
Disadvantages: Bit of a porker, a dog when restricted to 33BHP
...The bandit 600 unfaired was my first bike although my time with it was an extremely short.
As I was 18 when I took my test I was restricted 33bhp so I had a restrictor fitted to the machine while I also invested in some crash mushrooms which against the black paintwork didn't appear too obvious. Such a lovely looking bike. I grew up on the back of my dads Kawasaki Zephyr 1100 so I always prefered unfaired bikes over faired.
What a great moment pulling away from the dealership for the first time. Very comfortable and for a newbie U-turns etc were not to difficult although the bandit does weigh a fair amount which I was soon to discover.
Having set out on my first cruise I discovered above 50 mph the accelaration suddenly died down until eventually after some significant staggering the bike would cut out. Up until 50 the bike...

600cc Bandit S year 2000 model
Review of Suzuki Bandit 600S by
curley
Advantages: cheap to buy and run
Disadvantages: taller and heavier than some similar bikes
...When I bought my Bandit I was looking for a bike that would be reasonably priced, cheap to run, easy to ride either solo or carrying a passenger and capable of covering reasonable distances. I can honestly say that in my opinion the 600 Bandit S lives up to all my expectations.
I was mainly looking for the unfaired version, as I prefer the looks of the "naked" bike - a motorcycle should just be an engine, two wheels, a seat and a headlight! But when I first saw mine "in the flesh" I fell in love with it immediately - to the extent that I bought it without a test ride and paid the exact asking price!! Luckily the ride home was enough to convince me that I had made the right decision. The Bandit was easy for me to ride from the off, even though I rode it home at night, in the rain and previously the largest bike I had ridden was a 305 cc...

A Great Bike
Review of Suzuki Bandit 600S by
llumb
Advantages: Good looking, fast(ish), comfortable
Disadvantages: No fairing, high tyre wear
...I've had my Bandit 600N for 5 years now, bought it new for £3995.
The Bandit is a great bike, I can't rate it highly enough. Physically it looks great and it's a good size for me as a 6 footer and that equates to easy riding and comfort about town and on back roads. Keep off the motorways though because without a fairing it is a tiring ride.
Economy is about 50mpg and but tyre wear is high with rear BT45s only lasting 3500 miles and fronts about 7000 miles.
Forget what some say about the engine being flat, there is enough torque for pottering around below 5000 rpm and a great rush over 9000 which can get quite adictive. Ok it's got nothing on a GSX600 or R6 but it's as fast as my old Z650, and certainly fast enough to get you into trouble.
The Bandit has always been popular and that's because it's a good all rounder - it might...

Hold on Tight and Crank it!
Review of Suzuki Bandit 1200S by
LeducBandit
Advantages: Price, Power, Performance
Disadvantages: Speeding Tickets
...Just purchased a 2004 1200 Bandit S. After being reasonable and following break in procedure, keeping under 5500 on the tach for the first 1000 km, decided I'd like to see what this famous (or is that infamous) torque would actually do when fully engaged.
Well as seasoned a rider as I am, riding 20 years on all sorts of bikes in the street - sport genre, I was not prepared for what this bike can actually do.
At 9000 RPM in third gear (with two gears and 2000 rpm to go and before redline I was flying (150+km), this bike is misnamed as an all rounder. The power it puts out at the back wheel is something that needs to be experienced.
Okay so it has power to burn. Of that there is no doubt. The more surprising aspect is how smooth and comfortable this bike is on longer trips. Typically two hours of highway travelling is enough...
