360 Rechargeable Battery
Review of Microsoft Official Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack by
clra2
Advantages: battery life
Disadvantages: cost
...Here it is, the solution to the hassle of constantly swapping out batteries from the xbox 360 controller's battery pack. This product will definitely save you money as you'll be spending much less on AA batteries especially if you play your 360 a lot. This battery pack however is absolutely useless without the recharging chord or recharging dock. The rechargeable battery pack is very convenient but if you're playing with the controller while it's recharging the controller becomes a wired controller for a couple hours which is not necessarily a bad thing. Also I feel the price for this product is a little steep but I guess it does save you money in the long run. The batteries do last for a long time and I rarely recharge my batteries. This product is a must buy for hardcore 360 owners but for the casual gamer who only plays every...

No more need for batteries!
Review of Xbox 360 Play And Charge Kit by
Darko3B
Advantages: Saves money on batteries, charges quickly
Disadvantages: Cable is a bit on the short side
...The play and charge kit allows you to replace the battery pack in your wireless controller with this rechargeable pack, and so there is no longer any need to keep buying batteries. It is very simple to use, just replace the battery pack with the rechargeable one and plug one end of the cable into the controller and the other into your Xbox 360.
This will charge up your controller as you carry on playing, and so never again will you have to stop your gaming as you search high and low for those elusive batteries around the house (eventually taking the batteries out of the TV remote).
At around £10-£15 for the cable and charge pack it is a fairly decent price for something that will save quite a bit of money on batteries in the future. It also charges fairly quickly and so you can remove the cable and have your wireless controller...

Best Batteries Around
Review of Philips Powerlife Batteries by
gemmawhite
Advantages: Long life, reasonably priced
Disadvantages: None the average Arsenal fan will find
...Get batteries that last, get POWERLIFE from Philips, they are brilliant and last much longer then any other batteries I have ever bought.
I use a lot of batteries at home in various appliances and have tried most makes of batteries, some have been good and some bad. Up until now Duracel seemed to be the longest lasting but they were expensive. No I have found PowerLife batteries that is all I will buy. The pack claims that they can last up to twice as long as Duracel and in my experience they certainly do, sometimes they last even longer. They are particularly brilliant in power hungry appliances like CD Walkmans, pocket TV's and the like.
Price wise they are cheaper than Duracel and really do last twice as long....

DURACELL!! BRILLIANCE!!!
Review of Duracell MN 1500 Alkaline by
cooldude28
Advantages: Long lasting
Disadvantages: None at all!
...I bought a pack of these four AA Duracell Long Lasting Power batteries from Asda, and they set me back £2.85. I thought that this was a reasonable prce for batteries that will work many appliances around the home. The most I have seen these batteries for is around £3.60. I do think I got a deal for these four batteries.
I have seen batteries from other manufacturers, and supermarket's own brands. I think that Duracell are a good brand and I have noticed that these batteries have longer life than other brands that I have used like supermarket brands, to see if there was any difference. There was. The supermarket brand would last around 3 hours in my digital camera, but the duracell batteries last me a few days.
In the cardboard pack are four average sized AA batteries. They are cylinder shape of course, and fit nicely in this little...

Energizer Have Energy
Review of Energizer Batteries by
Mickie26
Advantages: Cheaper than Duracell, good make.
Disadvantages: Not quite as strong as Duracell, but come very close.
...The Energizer batteries I am writing about are Energizer Ultra Plus. AA, 8 pack. Unlike other batteries these are durable and very strong. I have used these in my digi cam and unlike other batteries that are eaten up very quickly they have lasted.
These batteries were on offer for £2.99 which is cheaper than Duracell and they really are in competition with Duracell. To date I have never found a battery that could even compare let alone compete with Duracell, but Energizer batteries definately do compete.
Energizer batteries come in a range of shapes and sizes at different costs. Roughly there are around 11 different types of Energizer batteries for most needs, such as; cordless phone batteries, AA Alkaline batteries, AAA titanium batteries, watch batteries, rechargable batteries and photo batteries. The list goes on. As you can...

An essential piece of kit for the '360' owner
Review of Microsoft Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack - Wireless game controller battery NiMH by
TheAssassin
Advantages: good value for money, long gameplay time
Disadvantages: None at all
...For XBox 360 owners who already own a PLAY AND CHARGE kit for their system (rechargeable battery and USB charger), then this battery is perfect for charging an additional wireless controller. As opposed to using rechargeable batteries and having the expense of replacing these every so often, one of these can be acquired for about £10. When charged using the aforementioned USB charger, you will get around 25 hours of gameplay before it requires another charge.
Again just to stress, this battery will not be functional if you do not own or have not before purchased the play and charge kit. If you currently use wireless controllers and charge them using standard batteries, you will first need to buy the play and charge kit which contains one battery, then one of these batteries for each additional controller requiring it!
The batteries...

Power for the Peoples electrical equipment
Review of Ansmann AA 2200 mAh NiMh Battery by
Coloneljohn
Advantages: Fast recharge. Environmentaly friendly
Disadvantages: Not suitable for slow chargets
...Ansmann AA 2200MaH Ni-MH batteries.
What can you say about a battery. A battery is a
battery, right? Well actually they are not all the
same.
Why should you choose this particular type of
battery for your digital camers. After all you can
buy packs of batteries in lots of places.
This battery can be recharged. At least 1000 times.
Consider the saving that you will make. So all right you have to buy a charger as well, but you will still save yourself in the long run. Say an average pack of batteries costs £4.00. They will last for a few weeks or possibly months depending on use. Once discharged that is it. You have to buy again. But say you can get a charger and a set of batteries for £25.00. Over the life of these that is a saving of £3975.Just think what you can spend that on instead of buying disposable batteries.
The Ansmann...

A Battery Life Less Ordinary
Review of Trust PowerMaster PSP Battery Pack PW-2992p Lithium Ion by
sghawken
Advantages: Great longevity
Disadvantages: Awkward and annoying
...The big problem with the battery of a PSP is that unlike the main competition (GBA, NDS) which have great battery life, the PSP does not; in fact you'll get barely more than 2 hours out of it. With this in mind I was quite intrigued by the powermaster battery that offers considerably more charge for your pound.
Plus's often come with minus's and the first minus is the size of this battery; in short it's a damn size bigger than the one that comes as standard. So much bigger its sticks out considerably more too. This forms part of issue number two, it's now more awkward to hold. Once you got used to the size of the standard battery having this big monster sticking out the back comes as quite a shock. Shocks go hand in hand with annoyance, the battery pack now feels loose so loose that you often actually pull the battery off by accident...

Charge of the battery bridage!
Review of Uniross by
sarkles
Advantages: very compact, quick charging, easy to use
Disadvantages: none yet
...I brought this battery charger just after Christmas, after being given a new digital camera and completely wearing the batteries down within 2 days, ha ha simple things eh? I was originally looking to buy some new rechargeable batteries which were compatible with the camera but after a bit of research, decided to get this smart little charger.
I purchased this item from Argos and the pack included:
An Uniross Photo Battery Charger
4 AA Ni-MH rechargeable batteries
This pack cost me £17.99 but as one pair of rechargeable batteries were in the region of £6-7, this to me seems quite reasonable (at last, SOMETHING I found to be a bargain!), but since doing some research on the net, I have found the same product to be slightly cheaper on certain websites.
The instructions with the pack were to allow the supplied batteries to charge for 16...

WIRELESS BATTERY PACKS!!!
Review of Microsoft Official Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack by
Roguey-117
Advantages: WILL SAVE YOU MONEY!!!
Disadvantages: COST!!!
...into the controller. So microsoft came up with the idea of... NUCLEAR POWER CONTROLLERS. But then they probably realised this would be to dangerous and powerful so they just settled for double "A" batterys.
: )
The batterys will last for around 12 - 20 continuous hours depending on the type you use, but changing batterys almost every day gets very annoying, and expensive. If you have rechargable batterys you will save money instead of always throwing batterys way but why wait for batterys to recharge?
Microsoft then came up with the idea of the battery pack. On a full charge it will last around 24 hours of gaming and can be on charge while in use! It will add a small amound of extra weight to the controller but not so that you would notice. This is all good! you can now have a charging pack so you no longer need to buy batterys or wait for them to charge...
