Advantages: wok burner, robust, large oven capacity.
Disadvantages: hard to clean hob, variable gas distribution, unbelievably heavy.

...It took 4 people to lift this and it was delivered on a pallett, they wouldn't undo it for fear of damage... It was also very expensive to have fitted as it needed both gas and electric but doesn't take standard gas fitting and they weren't supplied. After nearly 3 months, I finally got belling to send some. It's worth considering that it's cast iron inside.... I had to reinforce the floor, drastic but necessary yet no-one warned me of the weight in store and it wasn't on any literature. Belling customer service were excruiciatingly slow and unhelpful. No-one at comet would help as it was bellings problem... I went round in circles for ages. Hard to clean hob as bits get in all the ridges in the corners, you cannot use standard cleaner on it either... at least, not without scratching or damaging it. The ovens are great but when... ...2 months to fully recover and after all the treatment my specialist could not guarantee why I got bells palsy and if I would ever get it again. Although this was not a permanent illness it does knock you down a couple of notches and make you feel horrible. I am now carrying on life as normal and hoping I don not contract it again but I can never be 100% sure I have seen the last of it.... Read review

Disadvantages: Poor customer care, awkward designed case

.... It was a slim line case, so everything was packed in tight, so the design of the motherbaord was hyper critical, as no parts of it could go under the PSU or drive bay cradle. In the end, we could find just one retailer who 'thought' he had a compatible 'board. Problem was, he was in America, and was asking $100 for it plus shipping. And with no guarantee that it would actually fit. In the end, we gave up! I salvaged what I could from it, such as the sound card and floppy drive, but that was basically it. The death of our beloved PC. I have found that many of my friends with Packard Bell PCs have also had similar upgrading problems. We had contacted technical support at both Packard Bell and Currys were we had purchased it. Neither were able to help, and didn't seem that interested in our problem anyway, as being five years old it was well past... Read review

...a complete tomboy, the book should be accessible to both males and females alike. There are two ways to look at this book. You can decide whether or not you think that this is an honest, accurate account of an intelligent Jewish woman in her mid-twenties who is a prostitute or, as others have been quick to point out, a complete work of fiction written by a professional author. To be perfectly honest, it didn't matter to me either way. I read the book the first time under the impression it was 100% real and I enjoyed it a lot. I've re-read it since I became aware that it might not be all that it seems, and it's still an interesting, entertaining book. ..., but even I felt a bit down at times. I was thinking along the lines of 'What happens if it doesn’t go away?'. My Bells Palsy went in a few months but even now if I'm watching a film or eating, my right eye will water a lot. I sometimes also get a brief cramp when I yawn. I don’t know if it will clear up 100% but I'm not worried. A few thing that I thought were quite interesting: The way your forehead wrinkles change shape and completely go on the one side even after only a couple of days. Freaking people out when you sneeze, because only one of you eyes can close. It dispels the myth that if you hold your eyes open they will pop out. Also, I got to wear a patch for a couple of weeks. Well I hope that this is helpful if you have developed Bells Palsy. My advice is not to worry, do some research on the net. There are plenty... Read review

...INTRO Part of my ongoing efforts to upgrade my computer system included a new set of speakers. I wanted a set that would be cheap but still offer a reasonable sound quality and a fair bit of base. GEN I ended up in PCWorld looking at the Packard Bell FPS 100. Some of the other units were coming in at £60 plus, to much for a set of PC speakers. The Packard Bell set came in at just under £25. Bargain. DETAILS The speakers come with two flat panel desktop treble speakers and a neat little sub woofer for under the desk. The flat speakers are made of solid silver metal which incorporates a metal base as a stand. The actual speaker is covered with a black gauze and the log mounted on top.
