The Binatone Symphony G10 digital cordless phone, has all the standard features you would expect from a cordless phone. This is a digital phone, with a handset, and base. The base is the charger unit, and has a paging facility to the handset.. The handset has a coloured screen, with 4 wallpapers, that are not really that inspiring, and you do not have the option of turning them off. When an incoming call is recieved if you have caller display, the telephone number will be displayed, and if you have the number stored in one of the 200 places in the phone book, the persons name will also display. ...I recently bought the quad set of the Binatone e920s and I'm so happy with my purchase. My old cordless phones needed throwing away as the caller display on the handsets no longer worked and they were very basic with no extra functions. I was seeking functionality over aesthetics. Although these aren't ugly phones they aren't as sleek looking as some of the other more expensive phones. The two most important functions I was looking for when buying replacement cordless phones was caller ID and an answer phone facility, both of which my Binatone e920s have. The answer phone can record for 10 minutes and is easy to set up on the base unit. The great thing is it is accessible remotely, so I can phone home and find out if I have any messages waiting for me. ...The Binatone E3300 is a good easy to use phone, it is stylish and a nice size, fits in my hand comfortably, Included is clear instructions on how to set the phones up and how to use all the functions of these phones. Well laid out button functions clearly numbered. No fancy or complicated extra functions, sturdy and well designed. The sound is crystal clear, with a good range away from the base. There are 6 different ring tones so you can change to suit your own preference. Very useful to have a phone in 3 seperate rooms. Saves having to run and grab the phone. when you are in a seperate place in your home. Binatone have made these a sturdy practical phone but The number display would benefit from being backlit, and having name as well as number display, (unless you have a good memory). ...Binatone is a world renowned and very trustworthy company. The Binatone Speakerphone 100 is a cheap phone with lots of features. It can store up to 13 numbers, recall has a secracy feature and you can pause and redail. It also has a speajerphone option which has a red lcd light for when it is on. The speakerphone is very clear and can be heard over ten paces away. Now I won't lie, it's not the BEST phone out there, but it is pretty good for it's price. it doesn't look super classy or anythingbut is brilliant for a first home, office, or just as a cheap phone with lots of features. It can either hang neatly on the wall, or lie on a surface making it compatable with everyones home! Although it is corded the cord is reasonably long, but if it's not long enough, you can always put it on speakerphone. Sadly it is not availible anymore... Read review

...Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is a household name, even among non-classical music lovers - he is - for many - the definition of music. This CD houses 2 works by the genius - Symphony No.40 in G minor and Symphony No.41 - Jupiter. Mozart wrote No.40 after the death of his infant daughter - this is potrayed immediatly through the minor key in which the piece begins in. It later modulates to a major key which denotes his hopefulness of moving on and closing the bereavement door. The piece culminates in a repetition and develoment of the 1st section to reiterate his pain and sorrow. Symphony No. 41 was completed just 1month after no.40, in the summer of 1788. It is nicknamed ' The Jupiter Symphony' due to its power and percieved size, particularly in the finale, where a memorable theme is heard alongside with others that have featured earlier... ...It is an amazing fact that a year after its first performance Anthony Payne's elaboration of Elgar's sketches for his Third Symphony have become part of the mainstream orchestral repertoire. Payne, a musicologist and a composer, took on the monumental task of pieceing together the few sketches that Elgar left before his death and expanding them in a complete symphony. The results are incredible. Although Payne is cautious to guard against calling the symphony an original Elgar work (as so much was of Payne's invention)the piece has an unmistakable Elgar feeling. Originally recorded by the partnership that gave the work's first performance (Andrew Davis and the BBC Symphony Orchestra) this new recording with the Bournemouth Symphony conducted by Paul Daniel (music director at English National Opera) is a much weightier and envigorating... ...I remember the first time I heard Beethoven's 7th Symphony. It was awful. Didn't enjoy it all. Then through the perseverence of a friend, I was helped to appreciate the many aspects of this intricate piece of music. The different tunes all adding to the greater sum, the sense of something building up and how Beethoven has the incredible ability to go from the bottom of the scale to the very top in an instance. I have also found that is it imperative to play this piece at relatively high volume. For added effect turn off all lights and immerse yourself in the magic that is the 7th Symphony.... Read review

The conductor of this recording of Symphonies Nos 5 & 6, Sir Colin Davies once said, “Nothing else sounds like Sibelius”. The music is indeed unique and distinctive. Jean Christian Sibelius, Finland's greatest composer, was born in 1865 and is best known for his seven symphonies that he wrote between 1899 and 1924. Sibelius felt that music should be pure music and that every note within the music given importance. Sibelius once commented that, “A symphony should be music first and last." His Symphonies, number 5 and 6, recorded on this CD are just that. The two symphonies contrast and compliment each other to produce a magnificence. ...I've just had a new phone line installed and decided that the phone I had was a bit shabby and old, also when my modem connects to the internet it squeaked, which became very annoying. So I looked for a new one. I had a look in the Argos catalogue and was thinking about going for the cheap and basic model, a binatone for about £5. Then I looked over the page, expecting to see a range of expensive phones, but to my suprise there were speakerphones for under £15. A speakerphone allows you to talk handsfree through a speaker! I looked at the binatone model for £14.99 the speakerphone 200. It is a silver phone, which looks quite stylish. The phone has three direct dial memories and ten more indirect memory keys.
