Excellent film!
Review of Gladiator DVD by  matt___r60

Advantages: Costume and fight scenes
Disadvantages: Very long

...I loved this film and have seen it twice so far. I thought the fight scenes were excellent as they actually looked very realistic. From a history point of view it was a very good portrayal of life in the Roman Era and their bllod sports. The fighting arena was fantastic it was a brilliant 3D arena just like you see in all the history books. I thought that this is one of the best performances that i have seen of Russelll Crowe possibly because all his other films were rubbish. A friend of mine was actually a centurian in the film and he was telling me what hard work it was during filming. Well the hard work payed off- BRILLIANT FILM.... Read review

Shoop, Shoop, Shoop-De-Lang-U-Lang Part Two?! YES!
Review of Babyshambles - Down in Albion by  Museness

Advantages: Amazing lyrics, You get to hear Kate Moss sing! and Pete Doherty if you like him!
Disadvantages: Pete Doherty if you hate him!

...much time to rest between the bands. However, the Babyshambles got a bad name for themselves as they became as famous for not turning up to their gigs, as Doherty's drug addiction! ------------------Who are the Babyshambles?------------------ The Babyhambles are a 4 piece British rock/indie band, and their members are: Peter Doherty - Vocals and occasionally Guitar Patrick Walden - Guitar Drew McConnell - Bass Guitar Adam Ficek - Drums The band released this debut album, Down In Albion, on November 14 2005 on Rough Trade Records. The album is produced by Mick Jones and includes tracks from different genres from the usual rock and indie genre, to an attempt at Reggae. The album received mixed reviews on release, and the general feeling was that the album sounded lazy, suffered from bad production and failed to live up to the standard... Read review

Definative view on Brighton....
Review of Brighton & Hove Albion by  Djmilesno1

Advantages: Best fans, friendly team, community spirit
Disadvantages: Poor ground, poor finances

...- Came from Bradford City in 2002/2003 and has never looked back. Plays primarilly in Midfield, but McGhee often used him as a full back. 3 - Kerry Mayo - The clubs longest serving player, signing professionally in 1995. The only player to play at the Goldstone, The Priestfield and The Withdean. Came up from the youth system, and is a quality left back. 4 - Adam Hinshelwood - Another product of Albion's youth system, he is a strong and hard working defender. Currently injured but back soon. 5 - Jason Dodd - Signed from Southampton in 2005, 1st team opportunities have been few and far between due to injury. Quality Defender. 6 - Alexis Nicloas - Joined from Chelsea in 2004, and played a big role in the 04/05 season. Lack of desire means that he Mark McGhee has only used him twice this season. Promising Midfielder 8 - Federico Turienzo... Read review

Shambolic!
Review of Down In Albion - Babyshambles by  Mrs.Incredible

Advantages: Proves that drug taking is a slippery slope to disaster
Disadvantages: Takes up valuble space on a CD rack

...I'd been waiting for this album, so much hype, so many headlines and to be fair preceded by a couple of pretty decent singles it was worth a pre order! Or so I thought… For any of you less familiar Babyshambles are fronted by ex Libertine Pete Doherty, better known for his tabloid leading drug antics and for being model Kate Moss's lover. 'Down In Albion' is sheer noise, I don't hear anything clever just predictable rabbitings from Doherty singing his own praises and boasting about his lifestyle of sex, drugs and what he calls rock 'n' roll. It's all been done before, 'Fucking Forever' isn't anything new, having girlfriend Moss sing backing vocals on 'La Belle Et La Bete' aint anything ground breaking and by the time you get to track 16 (yes 16!) you'll have a headache. My favourite song, of 2004 had to be 'Killamangiro', genius... Read review

Pulp Fiction - Soundtrack Genius!
Review of Pulp Fiction - Original Soundtrack by  hodge_tim

Advantages: Classic music of all genres
Disadvantages: If you like one particular style of music...aviod!

...The importance of a soundtrack cannot be understated in my opinion. It sets the mood, it almost guides the film and this is certainly not lost on tarantino. He is like the modern day mad professor and his mind must be a complex labyrinth of manic genius. Anyway, I’m chunnering on now so I’ll get to the point… The tracks are as follows:- Miserlou - Dick Dale & His Deltones Jungle Boogie - Kool & The Gang Let's Stay Together - Al Green Bustin' Surfboards - The Tornadoes Lonesome Town - Ricky Nelson Son of A Preacher Man - Dusty Springfield Bullwinkle Part II - The Centurians You Never Can Tell - Chuck Berry Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon - Urge Overkill If Love Is A Red Dress - Maria McKee Comanche - The Revels Flowers On The Wall - The Statler Brothers Surf Rider - The Lively Ones Some of the songs have brief excerpts taken from the film... The Big Return of Babyshambles
Review of Shotter's Nation (Parental Advisory) [ECD] [PA] - Babyshambles by  RazzaLazza

Advantages: A couple of decent tracks
Disadvantages: Too polished in terms of production

...'Down In Albion' was perhaps the messiest album ever to have been given an official release, an album showcasing 16 tracks that sounded only half finished. Two years on and it seems that things have changed drastically for the band; Pete Doherty seems to be cleaning up his act, and Babyshambles have thus released an album that has been perfectly polished in the form of 'Shotters Nation'. With Stephen Street in charge of the production duties here, the man best known for his work with The Smiths and Blur; it was always clear that this album was going to be a lot more professional sounding than its predecessor. Whilst the previous album was released through Rough Trade Records, this latest effort from the band saw a release on major label Parlophone and I guess the big question is then; Does the music of Pete Doherty live up to the media... Boing! Boing!
Review of West Bromwich Albion by  geebee

Advantages: Great supporters, nice ground, optimism
Disadvantages: mediocrity on the playing field

...Another new season is on the way..and once again we Albion fans tell ourselves that we've GOT to have a better season this time around. We're a big fish in a small pond, we've got loads of potential etc etc. These feelings usually disappear around the end of September when it dawns on Baggies fans that another relegation battle is far more likely! Add the disappointing player performances, to questionable boardroom decisions and poor buying and selling and you wonder why Albion fans are EVER optimistic. But we are,and I tell you what....this could just be our season.... Read review

Challenge Beaker
Review of Everything that starts with B ... by  Beaker66

Advantages: Read on to see how interesting Beaker is
Disadvantages: Interesting? Beaker? Don't make me laugh

...to do is let the thing out and listen to the screams. -What's your funniest childhood memory? I don't recall any of those. -How many nieces and nephews do you have? Hang on that's got me thinking, four nieces and one nephew. -What did you last have to drink? A cup of tea with full fat milk and no sugar. -When did you last go out for the night and where? The New Inn in Sidley, Bexhill, last Friday night. That's about as good as it gets in Bexhill. -What's your favourite colour? Blue is the colour, football's supposed to be the game, we're all together, and winning is our aim, though that aim has seldom been achieved this season. Yeah, blue, the colour of Brighton and Hove Albion. C'mon you super seagulls. -If you could meet just five ciaoers for a drink who would they be and why? Five eh? Well now, I'd go for 1. Krazy... My life for the past 9 months
Review of Dark Age of Camelot by  Doonya

Advantages: Beautiful graphics, different ways to play the game
Disadvantages: Very addictive, monthly fee, gaining xp can become very frustrating

...I'd never played an MMORPG (massively multiplayer online roleplaying game) before trying Dark Age of Camelot, but having read a bit about it and liking the sound of it, I decided to give it a go. Initially you have a choice of 3 realms to play on, Hibernia, Midgard and Albion. You start out by choosing base class which leads you to yuour specialised class at level 5. To gain levels it's the usual killing mobs (monsters) for experience points, or you can also earn xp (up to lvl 20) y fulfilling kill tasks offered by various named guards around the realms or by delivery tasks from npcs. More recently some lvl 20 - 40 tasks have been introduced where you can earn xp by handing in requested items dropped by certain mobs to some npcs. While it would be impossible to level completely from tasks it can break the routine of endless killing... Read review
