...In our household we aren't paying a lot for a fast connection to the Internet. Following this trend we decided to buy a wireless router that didn't cost too much, we decided after a bare minimum of research to purchase the Dynamode R-ADSL-C4W-G, which (as suggested by it's name) is an ADSL compatible wireless router. In non computer speak it is a router that will connect to your broadband connection that uses the phone line. I won't go into the specific technical details of this router as it would only bore you (and I would simply be copying the description from the box). Instead I will tell you that during the installation process, we encountered the standard software setup that comes with the router. ...I bought this router from a local Argos shop at an emergency situation i.e. I want it now and therefore not at the best price - 49.99. Reason: My all singing and all dancing Dynamode R-ADSL-C4W-EG - wireless router had lost its main function, 'internet connectivity' after a month or so of continuous use (see my other review, now updated, for details). All is left is wireless communication i.e. useless. The return of this router back to Amazon caused me a week (lots of emails + recorded delivery + check that the refund includes the recorded delivery etc) For Argos, there is an obvious advantage - if there is something wrong with it, I just take it back for a refund/replacement on the same day. This router comes with detail instructions (step-by-step) for installation however it does not cater for the presence of a firewall... Read review

...Dynamode R-ADSL-C4W-EG - wireless router review After 16 months of use, my BT voyager 210 router exhibited symptoms of failing i.e. intermittent loss of connection, slow download speed even the ADSL line is clear. I bought this ADSL2/2+ modem from Amazon at £24.99 (good value) for my ADSL connection (I am not with ADSL2 yet) and this router confirmed that my BT voyager router was on its last leg. After installation, the download speed was back to usual. What's in the box In the box it comes with the wireless modem, DC adaptor, microfilter (only one, if you have >1 phone socket in the house, buy more), an ADSL telco cable, an Ethernet/CAT5 patch cable, a CD-ROM (contains only the electronic quick installation guide and a 'must-read' user manual) and a one page, double-sided quick installation guide. Advantages: Easy to install

...inconvenience, I lived with it for another couple of weeks. Then one day I discovered that I have a very slow broadband download speed - 0.3Mbps!!! Thanks to Channel 5 gadget show's broadband campaign for speed check. I contacted MADASAFISH and they 're-sync' the line and then it got better for a while. A week before Christmas - the download speed was down to 0.3Mbps again. I contacted MADASAFISH again. They 'resync' the line and it was still poorly at 0.3Mbps - no improvement at all. When I check the line on voyager.home, Status| ADSL line showed that the line has download speed of 2.4Mbps. Then I thought the modem may be at its last leg and therefore order a Dynamode R-ADSL-C4w-EG wireless router from Amazon. Advantages: Good all rounder, brill signal

...If you read my review about Virgin Media, then you will realise why I am writing this review. I was on a Linksys Wireless Router which was a great all rounder, but since upgrading my Virgin Services to a V+ Box my Linksys has become obselete and I have had to re-invest (at no cost to me, see my Virgin Media review) in a Dynamode Wireless Router which is compatiable with my new modem. My Dynamode was delivered, and after reading the instructions I was up and running in less than three minutes, good or what. The Dynamode BR-6004 W-G1 comes with a Wireless Router and a Wireless USB Dongle, the Dongle is ideal for additional PC's in your home. The unit itself is super slim and is in a stylish silver with a stand, making it look very elegant and chic in your home. Compared with the Linksys which was bright blue and quite ugly looking... ...C4 had been recommended to me by a friend of my. I used it purely on reputation and was pleased with my my findings. C4 is one of those Search Engines allowing you to use questions, which can be a lot of fun. One can type in any question imaginable. eg "What is a dog". The results turned out to be very accurate, and with a very acceptable number of links. Another feature which increases C4's useability is the fact it combines all of the major Search Engines in its search, which provides a more comprehensive number of hits. The site also has a free E-Mail service (.......@c4.com). This gives you 10mb of space, more than enough, and a lot more than some of the other free E-Mail sites out their. ...Channel Four used to be the channel of choice for discerning viewers who were fed up with the same-old, same-old garbage coming out of BBC and ITV. It was innovative, catered for a wide variety of tastes, showcased some grounnd-breaking UK comedy and was the first to get some of the best US drama around, such as ER, NYPD Blue, Northern Exposure and so on. It also had the grittiest soap around, Brookside But what's happened to it in recent years? Brookside is a shadow of its former self, seeking after sensationalism instead of genuinely good storylines. And where's all the good, gritty drama gone? Queer as Folk was the lasst genuinely good home-grown drama on C4, and the channel turned down the spin-off series it was offered by Red and Russel T Davies.
